if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the big smoke this is the place to go - very calm and relaxing. Loved the kajaking every day around the basin to Opua Marina and the fishing was great too I was told .... Kids loved it as they could roam around freely
We had the most wonderful time here, my kids had the most amazing time, jumping off the pontoon, taking out the kayaks, June was the most amazing host, gifting some fish so we could smoke it, we really appreciated everything June showed us, we're hoping we'll be able to visit again next year, thank you so much 💓
We had a great time relaxing here and discovering the area. June made sure we felt welcome and let us know anything we needed about the property.
Make sure you check out the bioluminescent plankton at night.
Thanks so much :)
We had the most wonderful stay, we were on a working holiday and needed a place to unwind and relax. Kauri Bach was an amazingly peaceful and tranquil space. The host and extended family are beautiful people. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We will be back again if you will have us. The Holland family
Off the beaten track old style kiwi bach - fabulous. Enjoyed being by the water and kayaking every day. Close enough to Kawakawa to do sections of the twin coast rail trail. Would love to return one day. Thoroughly recommend
place was nice though it's a bit far from main road but our stay was wonderful. we get to enjoy the place especially the abundant fresh oyster just in front of the place. The owner welcome us when we get there even if she has to wait for us since we arrived late at night. the place for me is recommendable
We had a wonderful holiday at June and Gary's house. Great hospitality! the boys really enjoyed all the toys in the house (the trains were a big hit)... such a wonderful place to explore and go for little walks. We loved kayaking and picking oysters. The house has everything you will need for a very comfortable stay. Manu and Nat
We had a wonderful stay here at the property and would love to return - very friendly host, amazing location in peaceful and quiet surroundings, lots of activities (kayaks!) and cosy, classic kiwi home that was comfortable and inviting. Highly recommend!
