The Strawberry Field Stilt House

The Strawberry Field Stilt House is a 1 bedroom/1 full bath home located on five acres in Plant City. The home is 555 square feet with a king size bed in the bedroom and a queen pull out sofa bed in the living room. There is a 150 square foot elevated front porch that is easily accessible from the living room. The home has a full size stackable washer and dryer. Laundry detergent and dryer sheets are provided. The bathroom has a walk in shower enclosure and 1 sink. A fresh bar of soap is provided for each new guest along with shampoo and conditioner. There is a blue ray DVD player in the living room.
The strawberry field is plowed in August or September and stops producing strawberries in March or April.

Perfect location!

This unique home was right next to strawberry fields. It was quiet and peaceful, nestled among the trees. The bed was so comfortable and it had everything we needed! Host was always quick to respond to our questions. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

The Strawberry House is super clean, so cute and comfortable. A great place to relax. Perfect location for our visit. Centrally located between Lakeland and Tampa.

Whiskey Meyer’s concert stay

Everything was perfect, only mishap was when the lock wouldn’t open after dinner Owner showed up and fixed it.Might have a key hidden somewhere in case this happens again.

Never Disappointed

We have stayed at Joe’s place multiple times now and it is one of our favorite spots. It is always clean and welcoming, my wife loves that it overlooks the strawberry field and is very peaceful. The home was just as pictured, and extremely clean. The owner also left a few water bottles in the fridge, and a boxed bar of soap in the bathroom for me, which I felt was such a nice touch. The bed was very comfortable, and so were the pillows!

Great place, just do not use the water!

Peaceful property. Clean other than a few dead bugs in the sink and on the window sills, but then it is the country so that is to be expected. Great location and very nice small home. But one huge ongoing issue that others mention as well. The stench from the water! It's bad. Very bad. I suffered through my daily rotten egg sulfer smelling shower. My guest could not and she chose to not shower the 3 days we were here. This really needs to be fixed, as prior reviews point out as well. This is how a 5 star experience becomes a 2 star. reviews point out.

Strawberry Field Stilt House

The cleanest vacation rental that we have ever stayed at. Joe is a remarkable host. Provides for every need. The house setting is unique in that it is surrounded by strawberry fields and just far enough away from the Tampa congestion. We will most definitely be booking this gem again when we pass through this area. Thank you Joe for your excellent hospitality and sharing your stilt home.

Family weekend getaway!

Perfect! Joe did a great job with the strawberry stilt house. No detail left undone. We were in from New Jersey to visit family in Plant City. We await the birth of the youngest family member. We will definitely be back. If you need a place to stay in the area do not hesitate! 🍓

Perfect place to unwind

Stayed here to do some R&R from a stressful job and relax before meeting with friends I hadn’t seen since before the pandemic. Joe’s place was perfect! Exceptionally clean, well appointed and in a great location to just get away yet be close enough to get anything needed. The strawberries were being picked the morning I departed and it was amazing how fast the crews work! It shows that Joe cares about his property and visitors. Great communications and just a great experience. Highly recommend the Strawberry Stilt House.

Absolutely wonderful!!!!!

I loved the location, and it was far enough away from the road. The restaurants and stores were just 10 minutes away. My dogs and I had a great time there especially on the balcony in the evenings. The place was bigger than expected, and the kitchen was actually stocked with spices and seasonings. (I left a couple of my favorites) and some condiments in the frige. The place looked like it was built yesterday and was very clean. I even swept and mopped before I left. You may lose internet in the rain, but the TV will take a "wireless display" from your phone if you need it. I met Joe, and he's a great easy going guy. I would DEFINITELY stay there again!!!!!!
