Fire up the BBQ and make the most of those warm summer nights and dine al fresco, while you overlook the stunning waters of Moetapu Bay. If its a Winter stay your planning, there is a fireplace ready to keep you toasty warm and plenty of wood supplies.

Moetapu Bay is an excellent base to explore the Marlborough Sounds. Head out on the water for some dolphin spotting near the Perlous Sounds, tackle the stunning Queen Charlotte track or simply take in the magical views from the shore over a nice picnic.

Please be aware that the shared driveway at the side of the house is steep. All cars must be parked either in the garage or at the side of the garage, to avoid blocking the driveway.There are life-jackets available to use with the 2 twin kayaks and 2 stand up paddle boards but we do recommend that guests bring their own well-fitting life-jackets to ensure safety.As the property has unfenced access to the beach, adults should closely supervise young children while outside to ensure they are safe around water.Please note a bond may be charged at certain times of the year. One of our team members will contact you if this is required for your booking.

Fine but a bit disappointing for the price

The view and location was amazing and the house was generally clean and comfortable with some dusty bits and some cobwebs. But the place is a bit tatty and run down. It definitely needs an update or a price change. The kitchen needs more equipment, wooden spoons, oven dishes and some decent knives. The upstairs bathroom door doesn't stay closed. The screen doors on the balcony are broken. There was a trampoline which my son was excited to use but the net is badly broken so not safe to use...disappointing for him. The kayaks were great. But the path down to the beach is really steep and loose so not suitable for elderly people or those with any mobility challenges. We had a nice time but the house was not as flash as the photos suggest.

Not worth the daily rate

We were disappointed and underwhelmed with this property. The price we paid per night did not at all reflect the quality of the actual house. The BBQ was rusted and did not work. The 4 Fishing rods that said came with the property were in such poor order it was embarrassing. The property manger did a good job in providing us a new bbq on day 3 of our stay. The house was old and in parts had rotten wood. Spider webs in rooms. The location and bird life is great. But I suggest the price per night is not worth it and should be reduced to be reflect the property. We left early and will be asking for a partial refund.
