Communication was on point with this hostess. We were welcomed coming and leaving. House was nice and beds were soooo comfortable. I liked the neighborhood we were in. There are so many restaurants and places for activities/entertainment for children and adults near this location. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again.
Cute house, very clean and well equipped. The only drawback was that the pictures did not clearly show (to me at least) that the third bedroom is simply partitioned from the main living area with screens/fireplace and thus has no door and no real privacy… not an actual bedroom in the true sense of the word. We have older kids and were able to make this work but it might not for everyone.
The Mill Hippie was the perfect house for a weekend in Rock Hill. The home is central to everything in town. The home was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We hope to be back again.
This property is really fun and funky. Bedrooms are great sized and front room has privacy screens. Kitchen is well equipped and the whole place just has a great vibe. Parking on the street is limited but the neighborhood seems safe and easy to find!
Very clean, had plenty of towels and other household items you may need. Highly recommend! Very cute little house. I just needed somewhere comfy and peaceful because I traveled to have surgery. It was perfect for me to rest.
We were in Rock Hill for my nephews high school graduation. This home was a nice location in downtown Rock Hill close to everything we needed and a pleasant stay for our dog. We were able to walk at Glencairn Gardens and Lake Winthrop on the university athletics complex. The fenced in backyard worked out very well. The road/driveway are narrow but we were able to navigate with our large truck. The neighbors were very friendly. We did not cook as we were in town to see family so either ate with them or at area restaurants. We would stay at this location again.
House is adorable. Loved everything about it except that it was quite warm in the house. But they had numerous fans to use. That is the ONLY downfall. It is as described, host was easy to get in contact with. Highly recommend
Cute remodel on an old mill house but there are a few things we would suggest. First of all, the individual air conditioning units in the sleeping areas are loud and you feel like you’re sleeping in a damp airplane hangar. Suffice it today, we didn’t get a lot of sleep. We would suggest minimally installing handicap bars & handles for the tub/shower. A walk-in shower would be ideal (but probably unrealistic) but for older guests, those are a necessity. Lastly, we noticed the city lodging certificate expired in April so you might want to check on that. The process was very easy and the host communicated next steps very well.
Beautiful, adorable and comfortable home! Pictures are representative. Excellent communication and flexibility with Sara and Tom. Just as a FYI, the home is actually 2 enclosed bedrooms and the 3rd is tactfully partitioned off from the living area - but that wasn’t an issue for our party- we were all able to sleep comfortably and happily in each room.
Thank you also for the binder of suggestions for restaurants in town as well as a stocked supply of towels, coffee/tea, small snacks and bottled water. The neighborhood is quiet and clean. Thanks again! Will stay again when back in SC!

Not clean, smelled musty, uncomfortable beds and furniture
We were very disappointed. The upholstery on any furniture was dirty and uncomfortable-it all looked like it came from a thrift store. As soon as you walked in, there was a awful musty smell. It was not central air-the back of the air conditioners and fans were filthy-my husband cleaned the fans so we could use them. After complaining, we were offered another place that they owned, but it was too small. We would never stay there again.
The house was exactly as described and perfect for our family group. It was on a quiet street very close to Winthrop University and walking distance to Glencairn Garden. We had four adults and two teens. It was plenty big for all of us. The only thing missing was sheets for the futon. (The notebook said they were in the secretary, but there weren't any.) We'd also recommend getting a new can opener and a pair of kitchen scissors. Other than that, we had everything we needed.
Communication before the trip was fine. We did reach out to see if we could enter the house early because we arrived early, but we didn't receive a response. Fortunately, we didn't need to make communication for anything else during the visit.

Not what it appears
The house needs a lot of TLC. It appears nice, but we found it to have a lot of needs. Some of the lights didn't work, ceiling fans didn't work, and it was dusty. Gnats killed on the ceiling in master bedroom. The tub spout was broken and sprayed water all over. The linoleum appeared to be covering a hole right when you would get into the shower. The washer couldn't finish washing due to being off balanced. Dust on the fans. The AC could not keep up at 85 degrees. The couch and chairs looked dirty and very uncomfortable. The master bedroom comforter was stained. This house needs some TLC and if it did it would be ok. I would not stay here again.
