Sleep snugly in this cozy cottage nestled in the heart of the Matanuska Valley. So close to downtown Palmer that many restaurants deliver for free, our cottage is also conveniently located just minutes from Hatcher Pass. Come home to the beauty of the Alaskan mountains in comfort.
Live in privacy on this three-and-a-half acre property, while still being within reach of all the fun Palmer and the Matsu Valley have to offer. In addition, Anchorage is still less than an hour away if you want or need to head South.
Bright and homey, the bedroom houses a Queen-sized bed, and the small sofa folds over into either a thick twin or a thin queen-sized mattress. This charming cottage has plenty of room for kids or pups to run, and we're happy to have your fur baby stay (we're pet-friendly).
Nestled between the mountains, Palmer's historic charm is just minutes away. Walk through the scenic downtown at night, explore the local haunts, or just look at the lights.
The Matanuska Valley is known for its outdoor activities. Hatcher Pass--and all kinds of outdoor recreation both in and out of the Park--is just fifteen minutes away. If you prefer a more laid-back day in the sun, visit the golf course down the road or stroll through nearby farmland.
If you want tips on things to do, just shoot me a message! We can point the way to explore local glaciers, see the dogs race, or just have a fun night out in Palmer.
In addition to free reign over the whole cottage, you'll have the entire three-and-a-half acres at your disposal. Grill or sit out by the fire in the summertime, or snowshoe around the property in the winter.
There's plenty of room on the property to park your car, truck, 4-wheeler, snow machine, or even an RV while you're home. In addition, our large arctic entry is big enough to comfortably hold your skis, waders, or other accouterments.
It's probably best to have some sort of vehicle while you're here--public transportation is notoriously sparse--but Palmer does have a decent number of taxi companies (and some offer weekly or monthly rates), and the downtown area is only 3.5 miles away.
Whether you're just looking to relax and unwind, are stopping by on longer journey, or have landed at your destination, you're sure to love this quaint Alaskan cottage.

It’s warm and dry and you have a bed to sleep on. The shower works but is tiny. I am neither tall nor heavy weight so it worked for me.
The toilet and shower are just separated by a single sliding door, which either closes the toile or the shower. The vanity is in the bedroom as well.
The living room features an old couch. One could sleep on it, but it doesn’t look as being designed for it.
Location is ok and I always felt safe.
