Exciting new additions with a renovation currently taking place to Blue Salt. An inclinator has been installed giving easier access to the house via the laundry and front door entrances. This allowing easier access from the carport for guests and their luggage. As part of the renovation the carport is being upgraded to have undercover parking for two cars during your stay.
In addition to these exciting updates to the property we are building a luxury studio apartment - Blue Salt Treetops. This will consisted of a fully self contained studio equiped with all the creature comforts for the perfect couples getaway or bridal suite. This space will include a full bathroom with freestanding bath, king size bed, Kitchen (oven/microwave, fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine etc) desk (work space) washer & Dryer, gas fireplace, fan, air conditioning, wifi, tv, bbq and views of Pittwater. Blue Salt is a renovated 5 bedroom house nestled on the slopes of Pittwater, just a 5 minute stroll to Whale Beach & a short drive to Palm Beach.
This Hampton/coastal inspired family-friendly house balances contemporary comforts with a relaxed beach feel.
The alfresco dining flowing out from the heart of house is perfect for entertaining with spectacular views. Inside, guests can enjoy a seperate lounge room with gas fire & TV. Fully-furnished kitchen, breakfast bar & supplied BBQ.
Blue Salt is a hidden away piece of paradise offering lots of privacy only 300m from Pittwater shores and 500m from the surf at Whale Beach. Sleeping up to 12 guests with a MAXIMUM of 8 adults. (Only guests on booking can be at the house unless we are notified) The house is situated on the middle of the property with a brand new decked boardwalk with stairs leading down through the trees. There are 3 car spots in the carport and parking on the street. Guests can check in through a keypad with a pin prior check in.
Guest enter the spilt level house through the front door via a deck, which has an outdoor shower at the entrance so guests can wash off all the sand before entering the house. On this level we have one queen bedroom to the left of the entrance hall and down the long hallway we have the main bathroom, double bedroom and at the end is the bunk room with a TV. Up half a level via some stairs to the master bedroom with ensuite and private balcony with amazing Pittwater views. Down half a level from the entrance hall is a big lounge room with a TV and gas fire. Off this room is another queen bedroom with a desk and balcony with stunning views.
Half a floor down is an open plan kitchen with island bench and all the creature comforts of home plus Sonos speaker. Bifold windows open out to the breakfast bar and lounge area with easy access to the BBQ. Adjoining the kitchen is the dining room, with a wooden dining table that seats 12. This fabulous dining space opens up with bifold doors to the north-west facing deck equipped with an outdoor dining table, a sun lounge, sitting area with breakfast bar with stools and Ziegler & Brown 5 burner BBQ.
Off the kitchen is the laundry with large washing machine and dryer plus a butlers sink, shower and toilet.
Blue Salt has been created following a transformational renovation with a lot of time and love to give it a warm and inviting feel. It is our family holiday home and we try to leave things in the house which may be helpful, its not just a "holiday rental". We hope you enjoy spending your break in it as much as we do.

Three bathrooms - main bathroom with bath and shower, one ensuite with shower off main bedroom and combination bathroom/laundry with shower. Large bottles of body wash and shampoo/conditioner provided.
EXTRA INFORMATION
Air conditioning throughout the house with fans plus fly screens in every bedroom with window dressings (block out blinds) .
Fully equipped kitchen with Bosch appliances, a large Fisher and Paykel French door fridge with water/ice, and wine fridge, two ovens, Nespresso (pods provided), dishwasher, sandwich press, Nutribullet blender, soda stream, Sonos speaker, and Ziegler & Brown 5 burner BBQ.
The outdoor area below the house consists of a pool, spa and cabana, trampoline and grassed area with a basketball ring and soccer.
The house is accessed via the carport off Surf Road with an inclinator and pathway with stairs and handrails the duration of the path. The path winds down through the trees with resting platforms along the way to leave luggage or take in the beautiful surroundings. Please see photos in the listing.
Guests have access to all of the property between the house and Surf Road plus all decks.
The block is home to two houses with the Blue Salt main house and the cottage which is an original 1947 stone cottage. The cottage @ Blue Salt is also available to rent. It has been fully renovated with a full eat in kitchen, lounge room with wood fire, bathroom and two bedrooms. Master with a queen size bed and second bedroom with a bunk (queen & top king single). The cottage also has amazing views of Pittwater.
There is shared access with the cottage to the swings, trampoline and lawn area (basketball ring and soccer goal) between the house and cottage. The cottage guests also have access to the stairs leading up to Surf Road.
Owners are not onsite but can be contactable via mobile.
CLEANING FEE of $535 applies to each stay and includes the cost of linen/ towels, and is automatically calculated when you make your booking. Extra cleaning charges will apply if the property is not left in a respectful manner and the House Rules followed with regards particularly to garbage, and BBQ. Any guest that doesn’t recycle and has excess rubbish plus uses plastic cups and plates will be an extra rubbish fee of $100. We now provide two rubbish bins which is more than enough for the house for a 7 night stay.
We except that all ceiling fans and gas fire are turned off when not in the house. If they are left on after check out a daily fee will be charged. Our cleaning team does not always come to the house on the day of departure, it is important our guests turn off fans etc before check out.
Please do all dishes and run the dishwasher before leaving. If dishes are not washed, extra cleaning fees may be applied.
No smoking. Extra cleaning fees to remove odour and stains may be applied.
No shoes or food of any kind on the lounge please. Extra cleaning fees will apply to repair any stains or damage to the lounge.
No parking cars across neighbouring driveways.
SERVICE FEE is charged by Airbnb on all stays, and is automatically calculated when you make your booking. This is based on a % of the total booking cost. Please note that as hosts we do not receive this fee.
SECURITY BOND (refundable) of $2000 per stay is in addition to the above tariff. Please note that Airbnb hold this security bond on our behalf.
LINEN - quality linen is provided for your stay however you will need to bring your own beach towels or these can be provided at an extra cost.
We have provided good quality linen and towels so please treat them with care. Any damage (eg. make up or fake tan) to the linen/ towels will incur a full replacement charge.
CONDITION OF BOOKING/HOUSE RULES - all bookings need to agree to the following before the booking is accepted. A breach of these could lead to a loss of bond.
- All guests to be linked to the booking upon accepting
- Only the number of guests on the booking to stay in the house, if this changes we need to be notified ASAP. There is only 8 adults MAXIMUM to stay at any time and 12 including kids under 16.
- NO PETS - (please discuss service/companion animals upon booking)
- No parties of any kind (please see more information below)
- Tampering with security cameras (front door, side of house and carport) could be asked to leave immediately or loss of $2000 bond
GAMES ETC - We really do appreciate it if board games are packed away correctly.

PARTIES - STRICT "NO PARTY" or events policy which also includes weddings, post wedding parties, hens/ bucks parties and schoolies bookings as per the terms. If guests are found to have had a party which results in extra cleaning, guests will be responsible for extra cleaning charges and in the unfortunate event of the disruptions alerting neighbours, guests will be asked to vacate immediately. If you are wishing to entertain friends that you invite back to the property and make unreasonable noise past 10pm this is not the right property for your group. Renting the property without disclosing any of these details or breaking the house rules may result in eviction and/or full loss of security deposit.
NO SHOES - we have a no shoe policy in the house including high heels.
TRAVEL COT and HIGH CHAIR are available to families with young children-please advise if you require this. Cot linen can be provided upon request.
We have a ring security cameras, 1 at the carport, front door and on the side stairs. These are for security when the house is unattended. Tampering of any kind (ie covering) could be lead loss of bond or asked to leave immediately.
