Watch the sunrise from your private balconies in both bedrooms overlooking the Atlantic ocean, and walk across the street to amazing sunsets on the Gulf of Mexico in Founder's Park or Marker 88 Restaurant.

Enjoy the fully renovated condo with wood floors, marble in both bathrooms, granite countertops, a 55" TV in the living room, high-speed WiFi, and reclaimed wood bar. The kitchen has all the equipment and utensils you need to make a great meal, and a community BBQ is located just below the unit by the water. Clean up is easy with a in-unit dishwasher, washer and dryer.

We are located an hour south of Miami and you will be less than two hours north of Key West - a perfect day trip. Islamorada is the fishing capital of the world, with charter captains available to take you on the water on your whim.

The property has a small exercise room (run or walk on the treadmill while looking at the ocean waves!), a lovely heated pool with lots of loungers and rockers, a beautiful dock and a community BBQ to grill your catch on.

Lovely development, friendly residents, beautiful condo! Islamorada has it all- restaurants, shopping, and Founders Park where I did Zumba and Yoga classes on the beach. Looking forward to returning next year.

Perfect winter in paradise

This is our second year in a row renting this property. We just love the location. The view is spectacular and we already miss it. Such a great condo with responsive owners. Very nice complex with friendly neighbors.

Our winter getaway

This is our third winter at Sunrise on the Sea. I think I’ve left more reviews than anyone else, and that’s because we love it! The owners are super responsive and we appreciate that so much. The ocean views are magnificent and the furnishings are comfortable. We’re already booked for next winter. We just left today and we miss it already.

Wonderful

This condo is simply wonderful. Wonderful view, wonderfully furnished, and wonderful owners. Everything you could possibly need is here. One highlight of mine is the proximity to the ocean, literally 20 feet away. Another is the fishing pier. The washer/dryer and the ice machine are added pluses here. Five star accommodations. You can’t go wrong with this condo.

Comfortable with everything you need

We stayed here for 7 weeks. The condo was recently remodeled so everything was like new. The full kitchen is well stocked and there is a great coffee machine and toaster oven. The best part is the pool and pier and common area outside. It is very clean and lots of comfortable well spaced outdoor furniture. The owner was very responsive to the questions and concerns we had.

Very nice!

Property is very well equipped! Full kitchen is awesome! Both bedrooms have decks facing the Atlantic! We were there during the hottest and most humid time of the year and the dehumidifier on site worked perfectly! Nice pool area plus a 400 ft dock for fishing! Residents were very nice and we made lots of new friends! Very pleased!

Perfect Islamorada Condo

We spent 6 weeks at Sunset by the Sea. The location of this condo is superb. Direct oceanfront, literally 20 feet from the unit. I was looking forward to watching the sunrise on the two decks with my coffee, and I did every day! The owners have thought of everything. This place is well stocked with quality items, from the kitchen to the bedrooms. Speaking of the bedroom- I have never slept in a more comfortable bed. The mattress, pillows and bedding were Heaven. The pool area is awesome- not huge, but it was never over crowded. We really enjoyed the company of the residents and other guests. They are very friendly and had three “everyone is welcome” type of potluck dinner parties in the community room during our stay. The owners, Lisa & Asher, were very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. We just loved this rental and already booked it, for a longer stay next winter!

Another Month In Paradise

Breathtaking views from this condo that is literally just feet from the ocean. Nicely decorated home with a wonderfully comfortable king mattress. Everything you need is readily available. Owners are friendly, easy to access, and responsive. Salt water swimming pool and a fishing pier for your enjoyment. Paradise found!

Snow Bird Winter

The condo was awesome. It has the most king comfortable bed with a spectacular view of the ocean. The community is very friendly and willing to help with suggestions of restaurants and activities. However, the owner's manual listed anything you might want to try. The Wifi connected easily, and the Smart TV is very up to date with a multitude of channels and networks. The kitchen had everything you need and the ice maker works spectacularly. for cocktails. Lisa and Asher are great hosts and right on top of everything. We appreciated everything! Mike & Pam

Wonderful

The property and location are nearly perfect. The unit is as advertised and clean. It is completely stocked with everything you need. Toaster oven was a plus as we ate out 5 days a week and reheated leftovers the other 2. Owners are helpful. I really hate to say just how nice the unit is simply because I don’t want more competition when I schedule! I would be happy to stay there all winter.

Lisa is a native Floridan who has always loved the Keys; Asher grew up in Africa before coming to the US. Together they love to travel, but always come back to this beautiful island chain. After marrying in Tavernier (just north of the property), we determined that we would eventually own a home here.

Why they chose this property

Plantation by the Sea is a lovely, small community of 80 units where neighbors really do become family, and seasonal renters come back year after year. We are grateful that we were able to find an ocean-front unit in this community that needed renovating and we spent 2019 bringing it to life. We enjoy it ourselves as much as possible, but we are excited to share our love of the Keys with others.
