This place was fabulous. Ricardo was very helpful throughout our stay. It was great to just walk out to the pool area. We rented a golf cart which was fun to use to access the beaches, small grocery, and marina area.

Great location

The views from this unit are fantastic. Ricardo was very easy to deal with and responsive whenever we had questions. The location is also close to pools and the restaurant area of the fishing lodge. This particular unit is quite tired and in need of some work. Overall we enjoyed our time in the area.

Wonderful property. Perfectly situated in Cap Cana, this unit is stunning. It was everything we expected and more. Be sure to visit Juanillo beach, it was our favorite! Tip: If you're planning to use WiFi, be sure to bring an ethernet cord or ethernet adapter for your laptop as WiFi can be a bit patchy. 5 starts and two thumbs up!

First off let me start with a big Thank you to Ricardo the owner, everything was easy and he was very accessible to communicate with. The property itself had everything you would need for a wonderful stay. Walking distance to casino,shops,restaurants and great views. It was nice to go to a place and truly relax! Dream home in paradise!!

Cap Cana is the greatest place I have been to in all of Dominican Republic. Everything is clean, modern, and a very friendly place. The Apartment was beautiful, 2 patios, modern kitchen, Ricardo was easy to contact, very helpful, quick responses. Everything there was a Dream. I will be renting again in the near future. Thanks

Great Property!!!

My wife and I stayed five days in this beautiful condo. The pictures certainly don't do the unit justice. It was extremely spacious with all the modern amenities that one would need. We enjoyed our coffee overlooking the marina by morning and and whatching the sunset by the spacious pool in the evening. We spent our days on Juanillo beach, which was ten minutes by rental car. There was a great beach bar/restaurant with wonderful drinks and amazing food (I recommend the grouper sandwich!). The beach was simply amazing!!! Finally, Richard answered all our questions within minutes of us asking. He was so helpful. We look forward to our return to Cap Cana!

Most Excellent Stay

Ricardo is simply the best! We rented his 1 Bedroom Studio and then 1 Bedroom Apartment for a 2 week plus golfing holiday. We are well versed in this area having relatives that are local property owners. Thoroughly enjoyed the full kitchen and washer and dryer which made life very easy for being out in the sun all day. Having a car was super fun as you can venture out to neighboring Punta Cana resorts, Bavaro and access several nearby grocery stores. Ricardo was always available to address any needs we might have and his 30 plus page welcoming packet was an excellent guide for our stay. Thank you Ricardo for your excellent attention to all our needs!

Impressive room!

Escaped the cold and snow of Pennsylvania for a weekend trip. Contacted the owner on a Tuesday, booked on Wednesday, and arrived Saturday.... with the owner arranging airport transport ... despite booking last minute everything was ready to go. Driver at the airport in a comfortable jeep took my straight to the check in. Easy check in. Took me on tour in golf cart. Free glass of champagne for wife and I at front desk. Room was clean, BIG, and comfy. Bed was comfy. Plenty of closet space. Bathroom is wonderful. Resort was nearly empty. Pools had about 10 swimmers, 5 staff standing outside pool. Rent a car if you want more excitement. If you want to read a book in quiet near the pool, this is the BEST place for you! Looking to stay again soon!

Fishing Lodge

Overall, it was not worth it. The Fishing Lodge is one of the oldest properties in Cap Cana; therefore, most of the house appliances are worn out and damaged by salt water. The bathroom fixtures are also rusty and worn out. The couch and a table were broken, and most of the ceiling lights did not work. It took three days for the AC to cool down the apartment, and the fan in the ceiling had only one speed—the lowest one! The AC also dripped for a few days. Ricardo was very responsive, but the place and the area were not worth it. There are better choices in Cap Cana.

Beautiful grounds, accommodating staff

We spent my birthday in a 1 bedroom studio in Cap Cana. My husband is an avid golfer and Ricardo was able to arrange tee times for 4 rounds of golf in 6 days, and handle payment, all in advance. The courses were gorgeous, as are the grounds at the Fishing Lodge. As a property owner who also rents out my condo in Breckenridge, CO (#13084), I was very impressed by Ricardo's thorough communications. He provided detailed information on the resort, how to manage transportation, restaurant recommendations, and much more in advance. We were not on the all-inclusive food plan, but enjoyed the food options for light lunches and venturing off property for some wonderful dinners. We met lovely people from all over the world, many who have rented through Ricardo many years in a row. Thank you, Ricardo, for a memorable sixty-something birthday! Sally & Jim.

Owner amazing property bad

Our first apt 4064 we booked was horrible smell of mildew was intense. Black mold in the closet. This apt needs attention as it’s not liveable. Owner was very responsive and moved us to another apt much better Place lacks cleaning furniture smells of sweet needs a deep cleaning only two towels left for a week only two beach towels Apartment needs a deep cleaning mirrors not cleaned shower door not cleaned. Whomever is taking care of air needs to be replaced fast. Bldg not clean elevator was disgusting dirty the whole experience not what I thought for CapCana very sad

New Years @ Fishing Lodge

We enjoyed our recent vacation, staying at the Fishing Lodge in Cap Cana. The condo is exactly as described/pictured and it was very convenient to have the kitchenette with microwave/cook-top and fridge. The access to the pools directly off the terrace was also wonderful; the pools are pristine and were virutally unoccupied every time we were there. (No struggles to find a lounge chair, as is often the experience at some other resorts!). The restaurants were ok...there was limited selection and usually only one restaurant open at a time. We definitely preferred "outside" for dinner. I would definitely recommend renting a car. It provides easy access to travel to other points within Cap Cana and to also venture to Punta Cana/beyond. I would recommend arranging this before arrival and picking the car up at the airport. There is a shuttle available within Cap Cana but you often have to wait for it and having a car gives you a lot more flexibility. We really enjoyed Juannilo beach...again, easy access to loungers, beautiful beach and good service from the bar. Overall, we were were very pleased with the condo and our time in Cap Cana!

SUPER AWESOME

This place is beautiful! The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars was that my friend and I didn't love the restaurant food and felt the options were a little limited even though there were 3 places to eat. We made our own food in the kitchenette. We stopped off at the main supermarket on our way to the resort and picked up most of our supplies and then refreshed at the mini mart which was a 10 min bike ride away. The pictures are very accurate to the cleanliness and gorgeous views. Ricardo was extremely quick to answer any questions we had leading up to our stay and as promised our private taxi driver came to pick us up from the airport and the hotel when we returned. Everything was on time! We relaxed and enjoyed bike riding around, thanks to Ricardo for having the bikes in our condo when we showed up!! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. The staff were all so friendly and eager to lend a helping hand whenever necessary. I would just strongly suggest buying your own groceries either on the way to the resort or hiring a taxi during your stay. Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation.

Studio apartment in cap cana

Location is amazing. We hired a taxi in advance to transport us from the airport to the rental and gave them the location address provided by the owner. They could not find it. Unit is actually a privately owned Residence on the sports illustrated resort. Once we located the resort, We went to reception as instructed by the opener, but there was no one there who knew where the unit was. Finally one of the employees was able to help us and took us to the unit.Due to issues with the lock on the door we were over an hour trying to get in we were in the apartment the bedding was stale and smelled rancid very bad night for us. We had to contact the owner to range for clean towels and sheets. The unit was advertised as having a kitchenette which it did a two burner stove top one of the burners not working there were no bowls there were no cooking utensils of anything that was clean or serviceable they did have about 50 dinner plates but no sandwich plates or anything of that nature there was three pots and if you wanted to make a salad you made them in the pot so my husband and I just decided we were camping there was no other way around it it was not luxurious very disappointed in this unit I would rated a two. VRBO should make sure that every rental has somebody local that can help visitors at the location. It was extremely frustrating for us. Employees of the resort were extremely helpful and informed us that this owner was

Fisherman's Lodge

The staff was amazing, so attentive and nice! The room was set up very nicely however it had a musty smell. We were there for a week in January. We didn't have maid service but didn't need it. Two bath towels and two pool towels weren't enough for a two week stay, glad we packed a couple extra towels. BTW, don't forget you need to supply your own toilet paper and paper towels. Our room (2111) faced the marina, the view was beautiful. The room also faced the dining/entertainment area. Music each night until 10 or 11, not a good choice if an early bedtime is your preference but fun if you want to enjoy the fun from the privacy of your room, The food was very good. We decided to go with the all inclusive plan after we arrived. To our surprise, the all-inclusive plan included room service. We rented a car and bikes. Though we had fun on our car adventure, I'd recommend taking the tours that are available. Driving in D.R. is ...shall we say....creative! Not for the faint of heart. We were even pulled over by a military roadblock, mostly an uneventful occurrence but my heart did skip a beat or two. Regarding the bikes, it would be a fun way to cruise the big resort but our bikes did not arrive. It was ok but it would have been a fun and easy ride around the huge complex. I'd encourage every first time visitor to ask for a tour of the property when you arrive. One of the staff took us for a ride in a golf cart around the resort on the third day. I wish we had done it sooner! The beach is not on the property, it's an easy bus ride to the very nice beach. Food, drinks, lawn chairs and water toys are available on site. Food and drinks are part of the all-inclusive plan too. US dollars are widely accepted. Plan to bring lots of tip money and don't expect to find a place to make a change. Bring 10s, 5s and 1s for staff tips. Overall, I would recommend it. The resort was clean and beautiful.

Perfect place to relax. Loved the patio, the views are awesome. The area beaches are some of the best I have ever seen. This is not a party kind of place, it’s extremely quiet so if you are looking to relax in warm spot then this property is for you. Not many English speakers but there’s an app for that lol

Beautiful condo, in a great location

I’ve stayed in Cap Cana numerous time and this condo by far was the best one. It’s in a great area everything is easily accessible, beautiful views, extremely easy to check in and the property mgr Ricardo was just as awesome. Any questions or concerns I had he resolved within minutes. definitely recommend this condo!

Cap Cana Alsol luxury Fishing lodge was awesome. Beautiful buildings and grounds. Cheap transportation inside Cap Cana, $3 taxi service plus free shuttles to beaches and Blue Mall. Fishing lodge has several shops an restaurants. El Potico Italian restaurant was our favorite. Best fishing in the Caribbean. API Beach by the Marina was beautiful with nice bar and restaurant. Went in early November, low season, very few people and great service. WiFi is very slow and only in a few areas. Overall a great trip!

Fishing Lodge units have the quality of a 5 star resort but have double the size of 5 star resort bedrooms. Cap Cana is luxurious, exclusive and it has fantastic beaches and pools.

Its only 10 minutes away from Punta Cana Airport and 5 minutes away from Punta Espada Golf Course. Ask me also for 1 bedrooms, 2 bedrooms and 3 bedrooms.

Dont expect lots of people in Cap Cana. Try an all inclusive resort in Bavaro if you are looking for many people.
