The Itz Inn offers guests an unprecedented location right in the heart of the Main Street, adjacent to Hondo's (named after the famous Hondo Crouch) which is one of Fredericksburg's most popular eateries. This is a true gem of a property providing an opportunity to literally step back in time; if the rock walls could speak - a thousand tales would be told. This sumptuous bedroom offers comfortable spaces both inside and out. Guests can step out onto the balcony and view all the downtown activity while enjoying an early morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine or a cocktail. Live music at Hondo's is an additional bonus on the weekends. (Please note you are renting a suite, not the entire home)

PLEASE NOTE: The copper tub is an original historic feature and does NOT function as a tub. It is a shower only.

- Quiet Time is from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am, per City Ordinance
- If we are called due to complaints violating Quiet Time:
1st Offense will result in a $250 fine.
2nd Offense will result in a $500 fine.
If police are called, you are responsible for any fines or fees issued with the citation or warning. If police are called there will be a $500 fine, even if no citation is issued.

It’s the perfect location if you want to enjoy the atmosphere of Main Street. You don’t have to worry about parking all along the street. The iconic Hondo’s on Main is next door. There is a small wine tasting courtyard on the property. It’s a beautiful place to stay, especially the upstairs balcony. The only negative- it would be much easier to apply makeup if the bathroom had better lighting. We had a wonderful three night stay.

Wonderful, quaint little place to stay

Great location right on Main St, next to Hondo's. We loved this little condo, with the balcony. Had everything we needed inside. Also, comfy bed from a long day of walking Main St or wine tasting. Would stay here again!

We loved our stay!

The room was comfortable and love the location. One item I would definitely want to see is a brighter light over the mirror in the bathroom. Too dim for applying make-up etc. I love my coffee in the morning while waiting for my husband to wake up. A better coffee than folgers would be appreciated. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Place

This place was so charming! I loved every bit of it! My husband and I especially enjoyed our balcony view of Hondo’s live bands on Friday and Saturday night. We had our own private viewing and listening. We have found our new favorite place to stay in Fredericksburg.

Itz is right on the main street, which is wonderful. Loved the big balcony space, however, we could not figure out how to lock the door between the front and the back rooms. Drapery was shabby and looked old. New curtains would do wonders. Because it is next door to a restaurant and a busy street, there is considerable noise, but overall it was a nice place to stay.

Balcony Suite

Made reservation for Balcony Suite but was put in the Front Porch suite no explanation why In prior correspondence. Finally got in the room that ended up with no heat and it got down to 28 first two nights, no coffee in room, shower was moldy and shower curtain stuck together with mold. Got in touch with Dixie and she moved us to the room we were supposed to have been in to begin with heat and a clean bathroom.

Good place to rest at night

Overall, our stay was good. I was very pleased with location and being close to the main strip, but far enough away that it was fairly quiet (except for Hondos right next door and the street construction the last night). I was a little disappointed in the fact we couldn't bathe in the bathtub, which very easily could have been an oversight on my end when I booked the listing. Who knows. I'm a breastfeeding mom so having a fridge/freezer that is reliable is a big deal to me, so I was pretty upset when we got to our suite and the freezer wasn't operable. There wasn't any shampoo, and only three tiny bars of soap. I wish there would have been some bottles of water or something to fill the glasses up with, besides the sink. Bed was comfy. Overall a pleasant stay.

We had an amazing stay at the Itz Inn. The suite was beautiful and full of historic charm. I love that we were able to walk to so many places. Great coffee shop next door along with Hondo’s. If you like historic charm and comfort then this is the place to stay in Fredericksburg. I left my pillow and they even shipped it back to me!

Delightful, rustic place.

Beautiful place with a nice overlook is Haupstraße. The decor is great and feels appropriate to the age of the building. Will definitely stay again.
