Former Army officer, attorney and entrepreneur. I've lived in the neighborhood since 2001 and love it.
Austin purchased this Apartment in 2001
Why Austin chose Northwest Washington
The apartment is ideal for people who want to be in a walkable neighborhood, close to metro, but who are on a budget. It's in historic Ledroit Park near U Street and Logan Circle neighborhoods.

2nd time I’ve had to go to dc for work and I’ve stayed at this property both times.
Have stayed on multiple trips now and I love the place. It works perfectly for us. It’s described to a T. Great value also.
Enjoyed our stay
This apartment was perfect for two people. Not having stayed in the area I didn’t realize how bad the traffic would be, but this is close to a Metro station and easy to visit museums and sightsee from here. Overall, a great place to stay.
Great place to stay.
We enjoyed our stay very much. We were in town working for a few days and it was perfect for us. Place was exactly as described and there is really nothing I can complain about and would stay there again without a doubt.
Close to National Mall
Conveniently located to National Mall. I didn’t have to move my car and used Uber most of the time. I appreciated the fact that it is pet friendly as I traveled with my dog. Will stay here if I visit DC again!
Clean and cozy
We stayed from 17th june-21st june. The property is nice as shown in the pics, it was clean, cozy wd all amenities available required for the stay. Owner Austin is also nice and helpful guy. Few things I want to share, the codes to access the upper apartment of Austin and the basement one were same. We entered wrong house and the tenants staying there got scared which was quite natural. It shouldnt be the same. Next thing is the lock of our apartment was not working, informed Austin for which he came as quickly as possible and fixed it. The area doesnt looked very secured as a day before our check in, some homeless people broke the car to steal the bag. Austin said this has happened for the first time. The next day I was alone in the apartment wd my baby when someone tried to open my gate. It was really scary but later got to know that new tenants were trying to access the gate as their apartment was not opening with the old code shared by Austin and he was not reachable through call or messages. Even I tried to reach him that someone is trying to access the gate.
Also, the laundry room is at the back of the basement apartment where we were staying and there is no lock available between them. So technically cleaning guy had access all the time during our stay. He was coming whenever we were not there in the apartment which we did not found safe at all. There should me some privacy. At the time of check out he opened the gate while we were still there. I dont think I am gonna stay there again.
The small apartment was great and when the internet went down, Austin was quick to get the problem resolved. The bathroom ceiling is too short for my 6'3" husband, but we were grateful that the shower was tall enough.
