Cottage in small mountain village, close to the national park, very quiet away from the road network. The cottage is located in the Val d'Azun and offers a panoramic view of the mountains at the bottom of the valley. The shops are nearby at 800m on foot by a country lane. Restaurants, pharmacy, doctor. municipal swimming pool, house in the valley with its national park museum and information point. The Val d'Azun and the national park offer many hikes, medium and high mountain as well as sites equipped for climbing. Very famous for its mountain lakes open to walkers and fishermen.
Cycling and climbing the legendary passes, Tourmalet, Aubisque, Soulor, Hautacam and Ardiden. Mountain biking through the Val d'Azun ski slopes or on the detailed circuits on the Topos guides of the Vallée des Gaves. A magnificent animal park Wolf or deer bear at Argeles-GazostA one hour's drive The Unesco heritage site 'the circus of gavarnie', as well as the circus of Troumouse and circus of Estaubé..Water rafting , kayaking, etc ... paragliding.
Hydrotherapy at Argelès-Gazost at 10 km; Small picturesque villages to visit around the valley.

Vacances au ski virtuelles

Puisque la neige n'était pas sur les pistes de ski de fond nous avons randonné en des lieux inaccessibles normalement en février. Le val d'azun est une région magnifique. Ça n'est pas encaissé. Le logement est très bien situé. C'est tranquille. Hautement recommandable !

Notre petit jardin trés agreable est très apprecié par tous nos hotes pour sa fraicheur estivale tant recherchée de nos jours.Loin d'etre sombre il fourni un petit coin cosi et calme,qui ne mérite en aucun cas cette appreciation qui est plutot de la mauvaise foi ,complètement fausse et déloyale.

Small but perfectly formed

Michel & Michelle were friendly and welcoming. Michel spoke excellent English and had a good knowledge of local walks. The owners lived next door, adjoined to the gite, but were extremely respectful of our privacy. The gite was lovely with a pretty garden, located in a quiet residential area of Marsous with stunning views and fantastic walking from the doorstep. It was small but comfortable - we had everything we needed and had a most enjoyable and restful week.

Cosy apartment in great location

The day we arrived at the apartment, there was low cloud so we saw nothing of the surrounding scenery. More anon. We found the place easily and Michel immediately greeted us, was very friendly, spoke good English and helped us to settle in. The place is compact, but reasonably well equipped. However there was no kettle, nor tea towels, nor soap. We improvised with a saucepan for a kettle and bought tea towels and soap locally. We also had to ask Michel by email, prior to arrival, to lend us some bath and hand towels which we’re not included, which he did so willingly. The bed is on a mezzanine floor above the sitting area under a sloping roof, so it does need you to stoop to avoid bumping your head on a low beam. It can also get a bit stuffy in the bed area in warm weather. The first morning the weather had cleared and when we emerged from the apartment the views of the surrounding mountains were amazing. We had glorious weather for four days and the most positive thing for us was that the location allowed us easily to access all of the iconic walks and views in the area. The local village of Arrens has a small supermarket , butcher, baker, delicatessen, pharmacy and cafe/ restaurant. There are more shops and a bigger supermarket in Argelès-Gazost which you pass on the way to Arrens-Marsous. Overall we really enjoyed our stay in this most beautiful part of the Pyrenees.

Le studio est tout à fait conforme à la description présentée. De nombreuses randonnées sont possibles à partir du gîte et la région est magnifique.De plus, l'accueil des propriétaires est tout à fait chaleureux tout en restant très discret.
