We loved this rental. We loved we were on the water, and the kids could fish/crab off the dock. We loved sitting on the back porch, watching boaters go by.

We had a great week at the house. It had everything we needed. Had the pleasure of watching a rocket go up from Wallops Island right from the deck of the house. A definite highlight.

Thanks so much for choosing to stay with us, Deanna! So glad you were able to take in the rocket launch. What an experience! We hope to have you back soon!
This was just what our family needed. Plenty of time to relax and reconnect and plenty of space to do it. Our teens enjoyed crabbing off the dock & fishing during the day. Late afternoons were spent at Assateague. It was perfect! We will be back next year!

Hi Beth! Glad you found your serenity at Serenity Now :). Sounds like you made some wonderful memories. Hope to see y'all again! Best, Elaine
There was nothing to entertain teenagers. We were 35 minutes from anywhere’s
It was okay but not for teens. A much older group would have been better. Like an elderly housing

Lorna, I am so surprised to read this! The Cove has 3 Pools - one has a slide, Tennis, Golf, Pickleball, a Playground, fishing, clamming, and more - our teen boys are never bored here! Sorry it wasn't to your liking. Best, Elaine
A great alternative to our traditional beach vacation.
We lost our summer rental this year, so I went hunting for an alternative. Serenity Now worked out well. We visited the beach several times during the week, and went on a boat tour. The views were great. We swam in the bay, but I prefered the ocean. Be prepared... this spot is quiet, but also 30 minutes from everything. Overall, I would recommend the vacation house for a quiet place to get away from it all. I felt very safe from Covid, which meant alot to me.

Hi Erin! We are so happy Serenity Now worked out for you! :) We would love to have y'all again! Best, Lea Anna
This was the most beautiful place to vacation. I loved the dock. The house was so beautiful other than the outdated dirty couch I didn’t sit on, it did and didn’t matter because I spent most of my time fishing and crabbing, but I had other family members that wanted to sit on it. I loved the dock and just sitting out enjoying the weather. I experienced the blood moon and NASA launch a rocket. I definitely will be back next year and then again and again, hopefully their will be a new couch. Best place ever. Location is key. Thanks for the wonderful stay.

Hi Angela! I am so happy to hear that you enjoyed Serenity Now! :) I hope you come back again and again! I will pass along the suggestion about the couch to the homeowner. :) Best, Lea Anna ~ Seaside Vacations
The location is stellar and the house has a very nice floor plan.
It could, however, use a few modern upgrades. For example, there is no television in the master bedroom, the sliding doors are difficult to open and the screens are broken, the entrance to the second floor should be cleaned up a bit and the spa bathtub on the second floor has a broken drain switch so you have to hold it down to allow the water out. Some small upgrades would go a long way. Otherwise, it was peaceful and we enjoyed the pool and access to main surrounding areas.

Diane, I am so glad you enjoyed your stay, but very sorry for those inconveniences. We were unaware of an issue with the drain, and will look into that immediately. And, I will share your feedback with the owner. Thank you! Elaine
Lovely house in a great location.
All questions prior to arrival were answered promptly. I had to no other reason to contact the owner after we got here. Everything was as advertised, everything worked just fine.
Located in a quiet area, sitting on the deck enjoying the sound of the water and watching the sea birds and dolphins was blissful.
Besides the nearby Marina restaurant, everything needed was within 25 minutes - supermarket, pharmacy etc., and all that Chincoteague Island has to offer. We also recommend the Dockside restaurant in Pocomoke City.
Would we stay here again? Yes. Without doubt.

Martin, We can't ask for anything better! Thanks for the wonderful review. We hope you do come back and visit us again. Best, Lynn
The view was outstanding, we could have easily sat on the deck and never left and I would have been perfectly content. Very quiet community we enjoyed riding our bikes and saw a lot of deer and even a few babies which their spots still. Also saw some dolphins, a bald eagle and a few pilated woodpeckers while we were there. We also enjoyed using 2 out of 3 pools and used the gym, it is small but got the job done on a rainy night. We preferred using the steps in the back vs the front. The house could use a little updating but nothing major and I would recommend adding a curtain in the room with 2 beds as my kids weren’t thrilled for early morning sun. Plan your grocery shopping ahead of time as it’s about 25 mins to get anywhere, which is part of why we enjoyed it. Loved being able to get away from it all. Hope to return again next summer.

Thanks so much for choosing to stay with us, Rebekah! We're so glad you were able to get away and enjoy some downtime at Serenity Now! We hope to have you back soon! :)
Our stay at Serenity Now was comfortable and peaceful. We wanted a relaxing get away and that's just what we had. The house is spacious with wonderful views. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck overlooking the Bay, bird watching and stargazing. There were five of us in the home with multiple devices and we had no connectivity issues. Once we were there, we did not want to leave.
The property is secluded and you have to drive 20-30 minutes to reach a grocery, so be sure to double check the shopping list. There are three rather steep staircases (2 that enter the home, one inside) that could be difficult for those with limited mobility. The hosts were communicative, but not intrusive. When we had questions or concerns, they were prompty answered.
We look forward to staying again in the future.

Thanks so much for your kind words, Cathy! Serenity Now's location really is perfect for unwinding! You can't beat those views! :) We hope to have you again soon!
Overall, the place was great. The view is wonderful, layout of rooms worked well, and kitchen was well supplied. A few tweaks are needed as follows:
Neither key in the box opened the front door, had to go around to the back.
Light fixture over sink didn't work.
Showerhead in upstairs bathroom needs to be replaced.
New batteries needed for the remotes.
Oven pilot light kept clicking at first, but then stopped and was OK thereafter.
Dishwasher should be replaced. Very loud and was impossible to put large pots in.
Again, these are little things. The place was cozy, nicely decorated, and we had a great time.

Hi there!
We wish you would've let us know about the small things and we would've happily taken care of them for you! :) The homeowner is taking this off season to do some updating so keep an eye out! Best, Lea Anna
We found Serenity Now to be an inviting, wonderful place to stay. The views are wonderful and the property spacious. The master bedroom with its own little deck was fabulous. We were lucky enough to have scheduled during a time of rocket launch from Wallops Island and had the perfect viewing location, a real boon since COVID had the Visitor Center and Viewing Areas shut down.
Other reviews addressed some of the furniture being dated and it's true. The couch and chairs were not the most comfortable, but our group did not spend much time there so it was okay. The beds were comfortable and clean.
I could see us returning again and again except that between the time of booking and the time of our stay changes imposed by the HOA will exclude families of our size (7) from this house, a real shame since we all loved it so.
The property management was responsive to calls about light bulbs that weren't working. They were great. No other problems to deal with.

Karen, We are so happy you enjoyed your stay and were able to view the rocket launch. We would love to have you and your family back. We do have some other homes in Captains Cove that will accommodate your family. Please reach out to Seaside Vacation Rentals when you are ready to book again! Best, Lynn
Hadn't been cleaned before we arrived. Hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in some time. Stained carpet. Broken ice maker, kitchen light and Wifi. Management offered to come clean the next day but we declined because the bathrooms and kitchen really had to be addressed when we got there so we cleaned it. Management finally agreed to credit us for the cleaning fee but we never received the reimbursement. Also they called mid week to have an appraiser come through because the house was to be sold....we declined but really???

John, the house was both professionally cleaned and inspected prior to your arrival. When you contacted us, you demanded someone come and "deep clean" the home due to covid. Then when we tried to send someone to help, you refused them. We did not contact you regarding an appraiser, but we found out that the appraiser himself did, which surprised us - we would not interfere with your stay like that. Best, ELaine
See a bald eagle from the back porch! Close to Chincoteague and Assateague.
Well-equiped spacious kitchen.
Best crab-shack around the corner (Crusty Crab).
Great location!!

Thanks so much for choosing to stay with us, Angelique, and for sharing the picture of the bald eagle! We love when guests share images during their stay! We hope to have you back soon!
We recently stayed in this property with our teenage kids. The location is fabulous, and the home is situated right on the bay - can't beat it. The house has a stunning view of the bay, with a lovely porch off the living room. We enjoyed the screened in porch for meals in the evening.
The pier was wonderful for fishing, crabbing and paddleboarding and kayaking in the beautiful waterfront. The drive to the beach wasn't hard at all, and we loved having the option of both bay and ocean.
The house overall was a little dated and could use some updates. The kitchen is nice and large for all our needs. It's a lovely , quiet and peaceful neighborhood. We enjoyed using the pools at the clubhouse as well. Thanks for giving us a wonderful place to spend the week together this summer!

The home is dated but comfortable.
View is great, although no sunset views this time of year. Community amenities are great. Great for bike rides and some hidden gems of walking trails.
Chincoteaque/Assateague State Park a short drive away. A must and then stop at Island Creamery for the BEST icecream!!
