A very nice accommodation with only two tiny frustrations: the water had to run a long time before turning hot, and the toilet tank took FOREVER to replenish. Also, teaspoons along with soup spoons would have been appreciated. Clearly, these points aren't deal breakers, just niggling details in an overall pleasant stay.

Best alternate to $$$$ Hotel in DC

I have been coming to Washington, DC for conferences and always recoil at the outrageous prices for first class hotel rooms and meals. VRBO found me the perfect alternative. With this modern efficiency one-bedroom. Recently remodeled, it overlooks the northern edge of DuPont Circle, two blocks from the Metro Station in one direction and a block and a half from the Washington Hilton area — a popular conference site. Although no oven, the electric burners, microwave and refrigerator was just right for quick meals, plus the dishwasher made clean-up easy. Thank you for a great spot to stay for my recent stay in DC.

Place was very nice although apt was cold on first night, but were given a heater and blanket the following day. Probably just an age thing , but an elevator would have been better. Overall recommend.
