About this property

Cottage by the Sea Rentals

One bedroom/One bath cottage.

We are Pet Friendly and have a big fenced in yard for your dog (under 50 lbs) to run around while you enjoy reading a book on a lounge chair, toasting marshmallows in the fire pit, or enjoying lobster or something on the grill on the patio table. We are a little way from the beach, but you can catch the trolley on the corner of the property on Smithwheel Road and not have to worry about parking downtown. We do ask for a pet deposit but it is refundable if you clean up after your pet and there is no pet damage. Sleeps up to five people.
Saturday check in at 4:00. Check out at 11.

Very comfortable and clean!

We loved this cottage. We were very comfortable and it was pleasant to be in. Our dogs did well with the fenced in yard. Also, the gift basket left for us was an unexpected surprise! We loved the fire pit too! We made s’mores and loved the lights.

Maine trip

We enjoyed our stay. Property very clean and included full size laundry and kitchen appliances, soap, & paper products! The gift basket was a nice touch! The property has pine trees and peaceful neighborhood for walking our French bulldog. Enjoyed the firepit and screen porch. Close to restaurants and stores. Ocean Park Beach beautiful. Would stay again.

Perfect cozy cottage!

We loved staying in this cute, recently updated cottage! Kitchen has everything you need, AC was very welcome on the hottest days, and the fenced yard was secure even for our small dog, so we could spend time on the patio. Screened in porch was great for reading in the afternoon and for storing beach/hiking gear. A short drive to the beach, and pretty close to Portland and lots of hiking trails too. It was perfect!

Don't Sleep on this one! 5 MINS TO EVERYTHING!! & SO MUCH TO DO!

Communication of the owner was prompt! Thank you for the Goodies! Appreciated after a day of travel! First overall impression of the place upon arrival: Super Clean! Owner left cottage w/almost everything you need to make your short stay comfortable or you can drive within minutes to find it! Fresh Lobsters & the Fresh Veggie stand (May be 2 mins from the house) were our fav! We cooked at the house a lot because there is a full sized fridge & all the kitchen tools you would need! The dishwasher was a bonus! A grocery store is only 3 mins away! We loved spending time in the fenced in backyard! Grill provided, but we didn't use it much. Travel Three Streets and then you're at Old Orchard Beach! SOOOO MUCH TO DO! Shopping, restaurants and super clean beaches! Our Favorite was watching fireworks off the Pier! Plenty of parking downtown! Took a day to tour Portland (20 mins away), another day for the Outlets, and even found a water park within 3 miles! Thank you for sharing you're home with our little family! Definitely made some great memories! And had an absolutely wonderful time at OLD ORCHARD BEACH!!

Great rental

The cottage was as advertised and immaculate. The property managers were very responsive to all pre-arrival requests and left a lovely welcome gift bag for us. The fenced in back yard was perfect for the Pug. Trolley stopped right outside the house and easy access to the Beach via car/trolley. Fabulous experience and would go back if they would have us :-0

Just Right for Us

We had a wonderful time on our August vacation. The cottage was better than advertised with clean and spacious rooms. The enclosed front porch was perfect for storing our beach gear to avoid tracking sand into the rest of the cottage. The kitchen had all the amenities including a dishwasher. The laundry outside the bathroom did come in handy. Other pluses included the gas grill and firepit in the fenced in yard. Kathy took the time to show us around and answer our questions. The gift basket was a thoughtful touch. There's lots to do in the area and we recommend taking a sunset cruise in Portland. We had a great time.

Very Nice

Comfy little cottage just right for the two of us and our dog. Back yard is fenced in so Indi was able to roam a bit. Cottage has all the attributes of home. Location made it easy to get around. Very enjoyable week. Sad to leave, but then there’s always next year! Two suggestions if I may: how about a clothesline from the white shed to the corner of the fence? The streaming tv was a new experience for us and we missed some of the shows we like. For short $$ you could get an HD antenna which will bring in the networks. And subscription to the Amazon 1-click thingy would allow access to a lot of other channels. This place is a major winner!! Thanks.
