About this property

Our casita is a unique private getaway, located on 4 acres at the base of Mt Lemmon. If you are looking to get away from the city and relax in a quiet, natural setting, this is the place for you. We are surrounded by giant saguaros, mesquite, palo verde, barrel cacti, etc. and are frequently visited by the local desert wildlife including deer, bobcats, rabbits, lizards and numerous birds.

Located outside the city limits, the property is less than a mile from the drive up to Mt Lemmon, close to popular hiking and biking trails, Saguaro National Park East, and close to restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. After a day of exploring, our guests look forward to sitting on the patio and watching Arizona's spectacular sunsets and desert views.

This is a non-smoking property.

The 800 sq ft, 1 bedroom, 1 bath casita is fully furnished and features a full size kitchen, large bedroom with a king size tempur-pedic mattress and ceiling fan, living room, bathroom with walk in shower, and laundry room with washer and dryer.

The living space has a sofa, ceiling fan, and a 55' TV. The full-size kitchen includes a 4 burner electric range, microwave, dishwasher, large farmhouse sink, and refrigerator/freezer. It is fully stocked with a full set of dishes, cooking utensils, pots and pans, basic pantry items, and even a crock pot so you can prepare a meal to enjoy after a day of exploring the area. Other kitchen appliances include a Keurig, toaster, and blender.

The detached laundry room has a washer and dryer and can accommodate bike storage if needed.

The casita is located in the northeast area outside the city limits and a short drive to area attractions, restaurants and shopping. We are located next to Mt. Lemmon scenic byway, and are close to Arizona National Golf Club, Saguaro National Park, Sabino Canyon Recreation area, and Tanque Verde falls.

Check in and out is easy with keyless code access. Each guest is provided their own unique code prior to their arrival.

The casita hosted by Jeff and Marcie was wonderful. The views were spectacular, it was quiet and it was a short drive to everything on my list to see and do, and then some.The hosts thought of absolutely everything you could want or need, and were very responsive. The home was spotless and comfortable. I would stay again next time I’m in the area.

Quaint, quiet place to enjoy Tucson.

Beautiful location for a week's stay. Very quiet with lots of nature and wildlife all around. The guest house was very clean and comfortable with a well stocked kitchen. It is small but for two people it was all we needed. Jeff was very responsive and we would definitely stay here again.

Nice Getaway!

The location was really great! Nice views of the Catalina mountains to the north and the Rincon mountains to the east. The casita had two porches for sitting outside and looking at desert vegetation with tall saquaros in the front. The casita was clean, comfortable, well stocked and very cute. We would return again in a heartbeat!

My husband and I truly enjoyed this remarkable casita. It had every amenity under the sun there from band aids to all sorts of coffee sweeteners. We loved the location that was so close to many hikes including our favorite hike to Seven Falls. The bed was super comfortable which was a plus.

The Tanque Verde casita was a wonderful place to stay. The location is set back off the road and quiet. The casita is comfortable inside with several outside sitting areas. The owners have provided more than the basics in the casita which was a nice surprise.

Perfect Location, lots of birds

My wife and I were very happy with the Casita rental. The location was perfect, close to much hiking and favorite cycling roads. The Hummingbird feeder made for excellent bird watching throughout our 2 week stay. A Roadrunner visited us on Thanksgiving morning. Property was very private and the hosts were very helpful and friendly. Wildlife abounded!

Beautiful Casita

My husband and I stayed a week in this lovely little casita. It was a great location. Secluded but with accessibility to everything. We did not get to personally meet the hosts, but they were readily available by phone, email and text. We really had everything we needed right there. We would definitely return. Picturesque From Sunrise to Sunset!!

This casita was well stocked with all the essentials. It was very clean, recently updated and very well kept. We enjoyed all three outdoor seating areas. Beautiful views of the montains and nature, with a glimpse of Tucson lights in the distance at night. We were surrounded by many beautiful saguaros. This will be our #1 place to stay whenever we are in Tucson!

A great vacation in Tucson

Marci and Jeff have set the bar extremely high with their casita. It was immaculate and had just about everything you would need. There was more than enough room for the two of us-- lots of closet space and dresser drawers.The bed and pillows were very comfortable (and I'm a pillow snob!). The location was terrific-- just outside city limits, but not far from stores and restaurants. The casita is on Marci and Jeff's property, but was situated so that it was very private. We hope to return again!

Beautiful desert hide away

This is a cute guest house on the property of the owner. It has a well equipped kitchen with 2 person kitchen table and attached living room. There is a separate bedroom and separate bathroom with shower. There are 2 sitting areas outside to enjoy nature. The comfortable and clean casita is located at the foot of mount lemon and provides a perfect base for hiking, biking and enjoying the spectacular sunsets.

Great place!

This was just as advertised. A great place for two people seeking relative seclusion in the Sonoran Desert, while being really close to lots of great outdoor recreation, like Mt Lemmon and Saguaro National Park (East). Also easy to get to a variety of restaurants (with thanks to hostess Marci for an extensive list of recommended ones!). We particularly enjoyed relaxing on the porches while listening to the birds (and occasional coyotes) and watching sunrises and sunsets. We got lucky with the weather during our stay! We have already recommended this rental to family and friends, and would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.

Best vrbo we’ve had. Wonderful people. So well equipped with everything you need. I left a duffle of things I brought that we did not even need. Very comfortable. Where do I start.It was just as described no surprises. Owners thought of everything. I have never stayed where it had everything.I really mean everything. It was very refreshing to find such a great place, the owners really want you to feel you were home.Wonderful location, great hiking just down the road from property.
