Overall, we had a good stay and would return to this location. This is a detailed review of things we think are helpful to know about this apartment.Pros: It was roomy, quiet, clean, the kitchen had pots and pans and utensils and dishes for the two of us to cook, the bathroom was good, nice shower. The A/C works great (but you don't have control of it). The location was great and the neighborhood felt safe. Close to the airport and a short drive to the Staten Island Ferry. There is a beautiful park nearby. Parking was always available on the street.Cons: The photos posted need to be updated, there is no carpet in the bedroom and some of the furniture is different. Initially it was very dark because several lightbulbs needed to be replaced, but once we did that it was good. There is no separate thermostat for the 1st floor (there this VRBO is located in the home) so it was cold, and there were no extra blankets. We didn't find out until we got a message from the host that this is a "self-catering" apartment, meaning it is the guest's responsibility to provide your own toilet paper, soap, and trash bags, and you are encouraged to pay it forward. However, these were all stocked when we arrived. There is no closet or place to hang clothes, if that is something you like.Again, this is a nice, clean and quiet location that we would return to.
