Lesson Learned
After reading reviews from renters past, I was hesitant to book this location; but being that it was a busy weekend nearby, our options were slim. When we arrived at the property, upon walking in, you were hit with the smell of cat, or rodent urine. The air was stale in the home, so it was very pungent. As the A/C unit in the living room didn't work, we were never able to solve this problem. It just kept baking in during the day, if you will. And obviously, not having A/C in the common areas of the house was an issue. Our 3 year old was playing on the floor in the living room (on a rug) and before we knew it, she was displaying signs of an allergic reaction. Sure enough, her pants were covered in pet hair. Upon further inspection later, we looked under the furniture and it was as if an entire animal were shed there. We were aware that this was a pet-friendly home and we have stayed in other pet-friendly homes as well. We have never had an issue where the home was not thoroughly cleaned though. In the home there is a sign that mentions the color of the water and the fact that it is iron-rich, but safe. Fine. We verified this to be sure, but what you don't know is that if you have a white, or light colored item you need to rinse in the tub; it will be brown afterward. Just an FYI. When we arrived at we the home we tried to contact the property manager via phone and email and never received a response. We did reach out to Evolve and they were kind enough to help us.

Grandma’s Cottage
The cottage was very quaint and quiet. Even though it is near a road we payed no attention to passing cars. My daughter summoned it up as staying Grandma’s cottage. She loved it and she’s 15. Coming from her that was a big compliment. Great location to the things we wanted to do. People in the area are very nice as well. We will make a return visit.
