I booked and paid for the rental but never received check-in information. I am waiting for a reimbursement from VRBO. VRBO did pay for us a hotel room for our first night. The property owner contacted me 24 hours after we should have checked in to tell me the property wasn’t available.

there was a problem or glitch with the reservation system that allowed a guest to overlap a booking. we apologized and offered this guest to do what we could to help the situation but they were unresponsive
