Wairarapa Bach Flat Point

Flat Point beach, just below Riversdale beach on the south Wairarapa coast - a good weekender - 2 hours drive from Wellington.
Enjoy the tranquil country atmosphere at a bach with modern facilities. 3min walk to a safe swimming beach with abundant sea life and a reef to explore on low tides.
Surfing, swimming, and diving with good boat launching access. An efficient woodburner ensures a toasty warm bach even in a southerly.

PLEASE NOTE: Some furniture will differ however will update the photos early March (-:

Pillows and Duvets supplied. Guest are expected to supply their own linen, including tea towels, sheets and pillow cases.

Our host was super responsive to our messages and provided clear instructions for the property. But, it was the location of the property that stood out. Perfect, secluded spot with friendly locals and prime beach access. Perfect getaway spot for some R&R.

We had a fun and relaxing few days here. The house has lots of space indoors and the two decks outside. Easy access to the beach, and a comfy couches and window seats.

Unfortunately, the property was in very poor condition. There was a strong soggy/musty smell in bathroom, many cockroaches in the lounge, kitchen, dining area and near the kids’ bunk bed (super unhygenic), fungus/mould in the bathroom shower area, dirty windows, and very dirty sofas, including one with a blackened arm and another ripped at the back. The mattress was also uncomfortable, soft and cold, and I could feel the springs, what a terrible night.However, on the positive side, the location was good, communication with the host to sort out water and communication with Bookabach team to sort out hygienic issue was straightforward and helful, well we liked the fireplace and dart board area.

A great time away with our whānau. Plenty of space for us all. Great communication and instructions. We did have abit of a hick up with our stay but the owners came out promptly to sort it. Beach is great. Views from the house are beautiful! 10/10

Best kept secret in Wairarapa

A great bach for a weekend getaway nestled amongst the Flatpoint settlement. A short walk to the beach which was a great place to explore and spot wild life - including a seal. Well equipped kitchen and the log burner kept the house toasty on a wet and windy day. Thanks for having us at your special holiday spot.

Weekend getaway with the family

Great location and a stunning coast line for a weekend getaway. House is excellent for a family with plenty of room regardless of the weather. A real sun trap. Great location for a dive or surf casting.
