The VRBO looked brand new and I only knew it was not because of the reviews from previous years. The live oak trees on the property added to the beauty of the surroundings.
We wanted to go see our good friends, but needed a place to stay. So lucky we found this one. It's was our first time using a vacation rental. The host are extremely nice and the place was beautiful. We will definitely use them again.

Sherry, it will be our pleasure hosting you in the future.
I enjoyed my stay! Its less than 2 houses away from the West Orange Trail, which you can actually use to get around town on a bike or skateboard or walking. There is a L2 charger less than 2 blocks away that I was able to charge at and walk back to the place. Very nice restaurant we ate at called Market to Table which was fantastic. While the hot water heater would not heat the water in the afternoon, I understand these things can happen. It would also be an added plus to be able to control the temperature in the room as it was too hot for us.
Thanks Beat!

We are delighted that you have enjoyed your stay with us. As I had explained to you at check in, we do not have a traditional hot water heater. The hot water is made as needed and travels from one side of the house to the other usually within two minutes or less. This is an energy efficient home and the AC is kept at 76 degreed. We are always on propperty to take care of our guests and answer the phone usually on the first ring.........if it rings.
The Guest Suite was exactly as pictured very quaint and clean. The host was very pleasant. I would definitely rent again if I come back to the area

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Cute but details inaccurate, dog hair everywhere.
While the property itself is nice, it's not exactly as listed. The area is more like a guest suit. It is connected to the home by an interior access door. You can hear the owners on the phone, their dogs barking, and any noise in their kitchen. The room itself seemed clean but the duvet was covered in dog hair and was obviously not washed prior to my stay. The listing specifies "organic toiletries and pure linens" of which neither were as listed.
Over all the stay was fine for what I needed, which was mostly just a place to sleep and shower. Not somewhere you'd want to spend a lot of your time while you're visiting.

We are happy to know that your stay with us was great. We are looking forward to have you as out guest in the future. As it relates to your comments about toiletries and linens, yes there is handsope and sanitizer in the room that is required to prevent germs from spreading. As it relates to the Guest Suite, it features a seperate entrance and a luxury bathroom. No entry into the house is requited.
We are always available during our guests stay and when we come up short, we immediately correct it.
The room is beautiful and comfortable and the owners are very nice and hospitable. Pool is nice and the area is gorgeous.
The only negative is that the door has a large glass panel that lets in a lot of light at night so if you need total darkness to sleep bring a black sheet.
My only, and I mean ONLY, concern was the lack of communication about how to get in. The room is absolutely beautiful and I thoroughly enjoyed my night there. Keurig, microwave, fridge, comfy bed, Netflix, beautiful clean surroundings….even books. What more could a girl ask for? There was even water in the fridge for me! Loved this place and will most definitely be back!
This was a nice, though small room. I think this is a newer listing, so there’s room for improvement. The listing didn’t indicate that you have no access to control the temperature in the room. I read about it in a review a little while after booking. As a woman going through menopause, I inquired about cancelling, as I knew not having the ability to control temperature was going to be a challenge. Owner offered to lower temp to 68 at night or allow me to cancel...for $100. $100 charge to allow me to cancel a reservation I just made. I went ahead and kept the reservation rather than lose the money. Inside of our VRBO booking, we were not provided with access information to get into the room. We were told someone would meet us to let us in. I wasn’t thrilled with this, but ok. At arrival, we were met by a woman who let us into the room then proceeded to go in and show us a couple of things...all the while unmasked. She told us the code to get into the unit, but it still wasn’t posted in the VRBO booking info. With being exhausted from traveling, I forgot the code. Since it wasn’t listed in my booking, I had to message the owner. As we settled in, I reference my booking for the wifi code; again, not there. I had to message the owner again. We then use the restroom after a while on the road. No hand soap. Messaged the owner again. I will say that the owner was responsive; however, the listing would’ve gone up several notches in my book had there been check in/WiFi info in the booking as well as some sort of booklet in the unit with local info, and info on how to work the shower.
Other big issue was that there’s a VERY bright street light that shines into the glass paned door. The glass is textured, but that does nothing for the light. If you need a dark room to sleep like I do, you won’t get any here. The door needs a shade, and the window needs curtains. There was an extra blanket and towels, but they had tags on them...meaning they went straight from store shelves to the unit without being washed. Other suggestions would be...a garbage can in the bathroom and some sort of mirror in the room. Big plus was the location. Close to the trail and quaint and wonderful downtown Winter Garden. Also allowed my pup. This unit has potential, but it needs some things addressed including being upfront in the listing about lack of temperature control. Didn’t feel that it was worth what the nightly rate came out to after fees.

Everyone knows that once in a while you run into miserable people that can not be pleased no matter what. And calling people miserable is not something I am taking lightly. But in this case, there is nothing else that could fit the description of our past guest.
As for the refund: There was no refund due.
We do not supply hand soap, but we do supply hand sanitizer.
We provide personal service. We greet the guest upon arrival, walk them to the room to make sure they are comfortable. We show them the lock, how to open it and ask them to write down the number combination. We show them the surroundings and explain the pool rules.
Nice room and location. Very Clean.easy access. Vrbo listed as 2 bedrooms. Should be 2 beds. Enjoyed our stay Would have liked to have a microwave but still a great place.
