A taste of paradise on the Chesapeake - the beauty envelopes you before you walk through the door! This spacious, comfortable home includes all the amenities for a perfect getaway. Broad water views and stunning sunsets create a peaceful frame of mind for an ideal holiday. Beautifully appointed for both families and couples looking for fun, privacy, and romance. The owners are pleased to provide two bicycles, two single kayaks, a tandem kayak and a canoe for you to explore the lush country lanes and calm waterways. The Oxford-Bellevue Ferry is an easy ride from here. Chesapeake Pines has a well-stocked library for children and adults, a garden room with a pool table, plus plenty of games and puzzles for the whole family to enjoy. Croquet set in the garage and a basketball hoop behind the shed provide more outdoor recreation. Tucked away next to the deck, is a new spa to help you unwind after a tough day vacationing. For those who must work, there is a large desk where you can (try) to focus on your work instead of the majestic water view in front of you. Stay Chesapeake Pines
Excellent property... one shower was not operational for our entire stay. One reason we selected this property was that each of 3 bedrooms had their own separate baths. 6 of us, all over 65 with a variety of health issues. Not having that shower made it very inconvient and, frankly, should require some partial refund. The property manager was made aware of the situation immediately and nothing was done to resolve the problem. There was no water coming from the shower. It was likely caused by a valve being turned off from some previous work and not turned back on. But no one cane to check.

Needs repairs
Overall this property is nice. The house is right on the water, with the huge hot tub there with a great view. However, the house is in need of some repairs. One of the toilet paper holders was barely hanging on in one of the master bathrooms, two of the straps on the hot tub were broken, the shower in one of the bathrooms didn't work at all. There are quite a few minor repairs that could make the experience much better. It was a great winter weekend getaway with my family, but I was very happy it was just my family and not friends as the one shower was not working.

Wonderful Chesapeake Property
Run don’t walk to this property. This house has everything you need for a family get away. Classic Chesapeake views and sprawling lay out. Crabbing, kayaks, bikes, hot tub, and sunsets. The only down fall was the buckle in the kitchen floor. Which we were told about it advance. Great house!

Incredible sunset views
We adored this house. The photos did not do it justice. It was much larger and more beautiful than we expected. The sunset views were stunning. Biggest complaint was the state of the house. A pipe had burst in the kitchen causing a six inch spike that straight through the middle of the kitchen -- which also separated the bedrooms from the rest of the house. We tripped over it repeatedly. The company notified about this issue at check-in, and simple apologized "for the kitchen" without any details. Communication with the company itself was awful. Nobody responded to any call or email. The property manager was super kind and helpful, but he could only do so much.

Potentially beautiful property but in need of significant maintenance
The yard and view of Chesapeake pines is really nice. However, the house is in poor shape. The AC was broken so the bedroom was 78 degrees and humid. The kitchen floor is buckled causing an 8 inch hump the entire length of the kitchen, a huge tripping Hazzard. The outdoor trash bins were full when we arrived and the house needs a good cobweb sweep. The management company was aware of the issues when we reported them but did nothing.
