The architecture of the chalet is quite simple. As simple as the shepherds’ huts were in the past. Namely, when a well-known Slovenian architect Vlasto Kopač designed the first chalets at this very place in the 60s, his model was the authentic shepherds’ hut. In this way, he saved Velika planina, by preserving its original appearance and beauty in spite of the newly built tourist settlement.
The shepherds used the central part of the hut as a kitchen, where they also produced the cheese trnič, whereas during cold nights they slept by the fireplace. And in this style, our chalets are designed as well – though with bed places upstairs and, naturally, commodities, adjusted to modern people.
