The stay was super convenient for us. Close to boat ramps and restaurants. The home was super clean and cozy! I recommend staying if you are in the Lake fork area.
Nice property. The dock is a short walk from the guest house. The pool is lovely, though we did not use it due to kids in the pool. The bathroom looked as though it had not been thoroughly cleaned from the last guest as there were long hairs stuck to the wall of the shower and there was a dead cockroach by the toilet. Otherwise the place was clean and cozy.

Sharon, I am so sorry to hear about the bathroom. We have it sprayed evey quarter and he had just sprayed. Sometime after you do get a dead one. No excuse for the hair, usally the cleaners do a fantastic job, my apologies. Yes Saturday morning my granddaughter turned 6 and we had a family cookout. I hope you come again soon.
We loved the house that we stayed in. It was clean, it was as described and all the amenities were great. We wish it had a better view of the lake but that is nothing against the listing or the owners. The pool was a nice feature too. We would be happy to stay there again on our next Canton First Monday trip.
Great time with family, fishing was great we caught catfish, bass, perch and many other fish. The swimming pool was a great place to cool off after fishing.

Good for Fishing
Lisa was a great host and helped when needed. We stayed in the spring so the grounds didn’t look like the pictures and the pool was not available. The door code didn’t work so it was left unlocked most of the time having us doing separate things and only one key. If you are staying to just fish, this is a good stay.

I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. I have a second key, you should have let me know that you needed it. The code does work it’s just been sticking lately so I put a key on the table for you. I apologize for the inconvenience.
This is a good spot to stay for a fishing trip on Lake Fork. Very good mid lake location, pretty easy trailer back in and your boat is covered and can be plugged in to charge overnight. Good Italian restaurant is very close by. House itself is nice and clean on the inside. This guest house is connected to a main house that appears to occupied, by that wasn't an issue as they have seperate driveways. We didn't walk down to the dock, so I can't comment on that other than to say it is not right by the house.
My girlfriend and I stayed here early November for some fishing. Lake is very low, caught a couple but nothing special. Be careful while driving on the water and be on the lookout for stumps.
The town is mostly dry, there is no on premises alcohol sales. We knew this ahead of time but wanted to share it for others that do not know. It’s a small, quiet town, one restaurant is open on the weekends. You will only be fishing and hanging at the house.
It was more than enough space for us, there are four total beds so if you’re going with a group it would be perfect for you. We wished there was a closet or a dresser to put our clothes in. Since it was just us, we laid our clothes on the extra beds.
We cook mainly at home so a kitchen was really important for our stay. This kitchen could use some updating. New pots and pans would be nice, the pans were Teflon and all scratched up. A few pots were missing lids which was a little frustrating. Appliances and utensils were outdated…new potato peeler is needed, the one they had was so dull we couldn’t use it. Larger silverware would be better, the spooned and forks were tiny.
There is no light down at the boat dock, bring a flashlight. It was very dark coming back in and hard to see, maybe adding a light on the dock would help.
Aside from a couple downsides of the kitchen this place was great and did exactly what we needed! Communication was quick and the place was clean which is very important.
Thank you Lisa for hosting us!
We needed a get away and this was great . My husband had his bass boat and he and his brother enjoyed the lake , my sis in law and I relaxed, walked, hiked.
This is the perfect place to fish off the dock all day come back up to the house make dinner then relax around a fire in the back yard. We really enjoyed it.
Really nice place to unwind from the city life. It was nice having the boat in the water to access the lake. The guest house is really nice and had everything we needed to be comfortable. There is a great Italian restaurant close. Host were very nice.
The comfy beds and cozy fireplace heater along with the park like setting helped make our trip just perfect! In a word the short hike to the boathouse was magical! Beautiful property on the banks of the most beautiful lake I have ever fished.

Thanks for the nice review. It was a pleasure meeting you all. Hope to see you again soon.
Nice setup, boat ramp nearby and boat dock at the cabin was well protected from the wind. Back property is grass around the house and pleasant to hang out, quiet.

Thanks for the review. Hope to see you again soon.
The house and yard was perfect. I was a little disappointed in the lake front being so far away from the house. The lighted dock with electricity and a boat slip is definitely there, except the lights and electric did not work and the boat slip already had a boat. Im assuming they would have moved their boat if Zi had brought mine.
Overall experience was greAt snd owners are very nice.
