About this property
Secluded Eco-friendly Log Cabin with Steaming Outdoor Baths
A luxurious, rustic hand built log chalet with large roaring open fire and steaming hot outdoor baths to relax in and enjoy overlooking the native bush valley while listening to the cascading creek trickling nearby. With complete privacy and exclusive use of Cascade Creek Retreat, it is the perfect getaway for couples or up to six people.
Cascade Creek Retreat, which is situated with 180 degree views of native bush on a large working sheep and beef farm, boasts abundant native birdlife from the very front door, numerous walking tracks through bush and over rolling farmlands and no other people or dwellings for kilometres. Romantic and secluded for couples for a special occasion and excellent for friends and families to really get away from it all.
A mezzanine floor and a downstairs bedroom allows everyone to have their own space along with complimentary amenities and luxury bathrobes to really enjoy 'a little taste of luxury in a little slice of paradise". Each bedroom has a very comfortable superking bed which can be split into king singles if required. There is also the option of a pull down 'wall' queen size bed in the lounge which arguably is in the best spot in the place - looking out through the double french doors to the superb view while still lying in bed in front of the open fire!
A small kitchen with gas oven and microwave allows guests to be completely self contained, but if looking for a real break, Cascade Creek Retreat also offers meal options and gourmet baskets for guests complete ease during their stay.
Environmentally friendly, Cascade Creek Retreat is completely solar powered with gas for cooking and hot water. In the building of the Retreat, as many recycled and second hand quality materials were utilised and the result is a unique, rustic beautiful ' log cabin'. A true hidden gem, Cascade Creek Retreat offers breathtaking scenery in its immediate surrounds as well as while exploring and enjoying the private walking tracks.
Outside, a large deck sits above the valley and its kanuka bush tracks, creeks and winding waterfalls. A bird feeder is in constant use, making native bird viewing a real treat.
Just 10 minutes off the southern scenic route, Cascade Creek is wheel chair friendly and designed to fit with the environment. A stay at Cascade Creek Retreat allows guests to really interact with nature as opposed to just observing from a distance... and the ability to do this while surrounded by complete luxury.
