Upscale property with great views, needs attention
Our family gathered for the week of Christmas 2024. This is a beautiful property with many upscale features. The kitchen is well-appointed; the bedding comfortable. Sadly, there were many maintenance issues and a number of other concerns that need to be addressed by the owner and/or the rental company. I provided a written list of 16 specific items to the rental company after we departed. No response. If these are addressed, then the property is well worth the cost. Otherwise, I'd look elsewhere.

Response from VrboOwner on 30 Jan 2025
Some clients are easier to please than others. Lynn contacted us frequently during her stay with items such as an odor we couldn't sniff ourselves, a couple of spiders in the guest house, and the dishwasher rack being hard to use if loaded full of plates and pans. We tried our best to accommodate Lynn's requests up to and including a night refunded back and offer for a discounted return trip so we're unsure on her report of lack of response.

This property is the perfect gathering spot for our family living in Texas, Arizona and Colorado.
This property is the perfect gathering spot for our family living in Texas, Arizona and Colorado. We have stayed there several times and love the view from the back porch and hot tub, the fireplaces in every gathering room, the large kitchen and dining room for our family dinners, the separate Casita for our younger family members and the proximity to the Atalaya trail
The perfect home for a family gathering or a girlfriend week
The house is beautiful and is in a perfect, spot. Not far from the Santa Fe Square and shopping and eating. It was clean, the beds were awesome and the view was incredible. The homeowners were accommodating in that we had 10 girls and at the last minute needed to accommodate one more and they allowed us to have one more guest. That being said the only suggestions I would seriously make is that they have more than one towel per person for the guests. We had to request more towels and it had to be approved by the owners. To start with we only had eight towels for 11 women for a week . There were none available at the house which maybe was just an oversight originally? We also requested towels for the Jacuzzi but never had any delivered. Also understand that the plumbing is older but we were gone for a full day and came home to two of the three toilets in the main house either clogged or overflowing. The house advertises 4 an a half baths. If there was a half bath somewhere in the property I’m not sure how we missed it. A half bath on the main level in the main house would’ve been awesome because otherwise we had to use A bathroom via someone’s bedroom. There’s one in the Casita and three on the main house in bedrooms. Of course that happened after hours on a Saturday around 5pm. When we called the after hour emergency number we were told that someone would be there soon only to have them call back and tell us that we wouldn’t have anyone out until Sunday. That was the day we were departing and to only have one bathroom with 11 women was in a bit of a struggle. Everything I had read about the property and the information that was left at the house lead me to assume that if something went wrong after hours property management would take care of it. The plumber showed up Sunday morning unannounced while we were trying to get ready so again a little miscommunication there. And last but not least I would suggest that they have a lock box at the house for the key instead of having to make an extra stop in town at the property management office to get the keys. That way you could just leave the keys on your departure as well. They did allow us a late departure which was awesome but they forgot to tell the housekeeping staff and they showed up unannounced at 9:45 AM so again just a bit of miscommunication with property management. Otherwise I highly recommend this place and would stay there again.
