NEEDS TLC
It’s secluded & very quiet. Very little road noise. The wildlife & creek are all you hear for the most part. It’s also easy to get to, just be cautious on the one lane road. The outdoor fireplace & grill (not screened in as described) are nice. However, we had issues.
There is no Wi-Fi or cable. So late night binge watching, for someone on a night shift schedule, is a no. You’re stuck watching only DVDs provided or your phone if you can get a strong signal. There is also no landline phone, which they should at least have for emergencies. You don’t have to pay for anything to have a phone connected to the phone jack, so it can call 911.
The cabin needs a DEEP CLEANING. I’ll keep this as short as I can. Cobwebs & dust are expected in the woods, but there seemed to be more than expected. Crumbs on floor & under the tv stand, which you can clearly see. Socks found under the bed & clothes left in the hamper. Shower is getting mildew spots.
The hot tub - at night looks great, but it’s deceiving. During the day time you can clearly see the jets are discolored. The sides look like there’s buildup. One side doesn’t work at all. I don’t know if it’s because some of the jets/knobs are missing or what. The chlorine floater needs to be replaced completely or cleaned REALLY GOOD.
This cabin is great if you are here for activities like hiking & only plan to sleep here. We left early, which sucks, but oh well. It has the potential to be amazing w/ a little TLC & some small investments.
