About this property

The perfect place to sit back and just Relax....Reelax-ation has been transformed into a self contained hideaway and your home for the duration of your stay. Complete with a well appointed kitchen and open plan lounge. The property features a covered outdoor seating area and large Walnut tree to relax under on those hot summer days, reading a book in the hanging bath seat. No roads to cross for lake access just 3 min walk out the back for a swim, fish, or lake walk. Great base for 2.

There is a larger second dwelling on the property, sleeps 5, but is completely private and separate. This may be booked separately.... see listing "Re-Cooper-ation" Great if you wish to holiday with friends/family. It may also be occupied during your stay.

3 Boat ramps are close by to launch your Big Boys Toys.
Tauranga-Taupo river mouth just a short walk too, so try a spot of fly fishing.

Stay at Lake Taupo

It was exactly as we expected, no surprises. Lots of plants trees and birds, which we enjoy. We were smoked out by a neighbor burning rubbish, but they stopped when we talked to them. Comfortable and private. Good value.

Perfect Bach

After a long drive and a long walk on the Tongariro Crossing this was a piece of paradise! Brilliant location and facilities, with easy access to Taupo. Debbie was super communicative and accommodating. Fully recommend!

Stay at Reel-axation

We stayed for four days and all was as expected and clean. The hosts are easy to communicate with and were happy to accommodate special requests. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Very relaxing and comfortable

Good location, close enough to Turangi and Taupo for shops. Walk down backyard to lake or laze in bath seat under walnut tree and read books, watch the birds and enjoy a drink. Bach is well set up and very comfy beds. Very friendly and helpful hosts.

Lovely Spot for a Break

The Smokehouse is perfect for a couple. Spotlessly clean and a very well stocked kitchen. Debbie was great with communication during booking and was so nice to meet her and Mark before we left. Thank you both and take care
