About this property

Private property with pool and fantastic views

Come and enjoy the experience of living in a tiny village in the hills of the Central Pacific Coast called San Miguelito, Puntarenas, Costa Rica. Over 90 years ago this property was once part of a bigger lot owned by the Prince and Princess of Prussia and has a rich background in biodiversity.

The property itself features two residential houses inside a lush green 1/2 acre compound surrounded by a garden filled with palm trees. It also has a BBQ ranch with grill, private infinity swimming pool, jacuzzi and a breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean and Nicoya Bay. Great for a family vacation or a group retreat.

The houses are older construction and have been in a process of improvements and renovations, but provide a beautiful environment and all the necessary comforts needed for a pleasant stay.

Each house has its own fully equipped kitchen, TV with cable, A/C in all bedrooms, wifi, telephone and a security system. The apartment and main house can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people each. (Three rooms have double beds the others have single beds/bunks).

There is open parking for 6-8 cars.

If you want to be away and enjoy your private property with pool, but still be only 20 minutes away from the nearest beach, this is the place to be.

Living like a local

Great experience with mine and my wife's family. 2 separate living spaces with a common area pool and outdoor kitchen. Views of Nicoya peninsula, local neighborhood, peaceful relaxation, very good for the price.

Very nice property, gift basket with good wine and chocolate

We had a great time at this property. The owners easy to contact and provided help when requested. The pool and hot tub spotless. BBQ area had all we needed and well set up. We used every evening!! We highly recommend this place, you’ll have a great time. Our family of 10 had plenty of space and areas to be alone if so you wished. We’re looking forward to return in the future.

Been in this house at least 5 times since Mari and Giacomo are the owners, the precision of the requirements from the guests, responsiveness, instructions on how the house works cleaness, attention and how everytime I go there is an improvement to the house is 100 out of 10! Will definitely keep going as long as they are owners!

Muligeneration family trip

The outdoor space at this rental far exceeded expectations! It was the highlight of our stay, and the reason we booked this home. However, there are a lot of stairs to access the pool. Not a horrible thing, just something to know in advance if you have mobility issues. We traveled with grandparents and it was a little more difficult to access. We checked out both houses when we got there and decided the main house fit our needs better. The upper house also had a strange smell. Maybe just needed to be aired out. The lower house had hot water issues which the property manager immediately said they would send someone to check. Communication was great and was never an issue. We were all a little underwhelmed with the house...mostly the uncomfortable beds and thought it could use a good deep cleaning. Overall, this was a nice property that could be an amazing property with a little TLC. If you are looking to spend more time outside then inside, its great. Oh, and the AC systems in the bedroom are amazing!! The rest of the units in the house don't work as well and it gets really hot, but it cooled off in the evenings after the sun went down.

Pool time for family reunion

A last minute family reunion was possible thanks to Giacomo & Marjolein. Their place worked for our goal, which was to enjoy together for 2 days with games and tons of pool time. They welcomed us with a nice basket with goodies! Nice touch. The pool and BBQ/outoor area were perfect for our goals. Check-in was a breeze, directions accurate and remote assistance provided even for little details, including how to approach the driveway and park! The property has 2 houses, in a terraced property. The main house is down by the gates, and has 3 bedroms, 2 on the main floor, and one (master) on the second floor, with access to the back terrace, where you can walk up to the next level up in the backyard, where the pool and large appartment are .Each bedroom has a fully working quiet AC unit! Going up 2 set of stairs from the main house, is the pool area, with a gas grill, jacuzzi (powerful jets) and even a water slide. The BBQ /outdoord dining area is covered, so even with rain we were able to stay outdoors! From the pool area, you can go up to the 'appartment', which has a massively large master bedroom with master bath, and another smaller bedroom with a bathroom, living/kitchen area in between. All beds were comfortable according to our crew. We spent most of our 2 days outdoors in the pool, our bew tan look will be noted and appreciated for days to come!

This could be a beautiful property with some maintenance and cosmetic changes.

The property could be an amazing vacation rental with some cleaning and improvements. Upon arrival we checked the main house and immediately decided not to stay in it!! It could use a major cleaning and only offered on queen bed in the upstairs room. The other two were bunk beds. The patio furniture and patio was dust and leaf covered and didn’t look like it had been cleaned for months. We then checked out the upper apartment which was 48 stairs up from the main house and that’s where we stayed. It has two large bedrooms and on suite baths. The air worked fine. The kitchen living room area had a musty smell the whole time there and we discovered black mold under the kitchen sink. It was much cleaner than the main house. The pool was the best part of the property it was clean and refreshing. The property owners did respond quickly to any questions we had. Was somewhat disappointed in the cleanliness and appearance of the property but we made it work as we are adventurous and stay out mostly through the day exploring. As I Mentioned this could be an amazingly beautiful property with some deep cleaning and some repairs. Enjoyed our time in Costa Rica and planning our next adventure to the island of Barbados in November!!

Casa Prusia

La casa tiene áreas sociales muy espaciosas, una mesa enorme para compartir al lado de una piscina hermosa. Los encargados fueron amables y nos respondieron ante dificultades. Sin embargo, la limpieza deja mucho que desear. La limpieza y el mantenimiento pueden mejorar para que la casa y apartamento se mantengan en mejores condiciones.

Mari a été disponible par téléphone durant ce séjour, nous aurions peut-être aimé la voir au check in. Mari a une très jolie propriété qui se divise en deux maisons. Une maison qui se compose de deux chambres et une autre qui se compose de trois chambres avec entre les deux maisons la piscine et la terrasse (très jolie). Le point négatif a été la propreté qui n’était pas au rendez-vous…

El lugar es bonito tranquilo Pero hay ciertas cosas que mejorar Requiere algo de mantenimiento El lugar estaba limpio por encima al llegar y era evidente en algunas áreas No hay accesibilidad de ley 7600 para personas con discapacidad para accesar a la piscina y apartamento pero si hay espacio como para mejorarlo Hay que tomar en cuenta que el acceso con carros en la entrada principal debe ser un vehículo alto Pero en general el lugar es tranquilo calmo y para pasar en familia

Fui con mi familia de paseo a Casa Prusia y nos encantó, es una propiedad que cuenta con 2 casas súper equipadas, (las 2 casas vienen incluidas en la reservación)tiene una vista muy bonita y el rancho y la piscina son increíbles. El proceso del check in fue muy rápido y siempre mantuve contacto con el anfitrión y encargada de la casa, súper amables y rápidos en responder. La casa estaba muy limpia y la ropa de cama también. Al llegar a la casa nos encontramos 2 canastas con galletas y vino lo cual nos pareció un detalle muy bonito. Es una propiedad grande y con bastantes gradas para tomarlo en consideración. Sin duda volvería en el futuro.

Lindísima propiedad, excelentes anfitriones y vista espectacular!

Pasamos el reciente fin de semana en la Casa de Mari & Giacomo. Desde el momento de la reservación nos dieron un excelente servicio, siempre estuvieron atentos y las respuestas inmediatas.Nos recibieron con canasta de regalo en las dos casas, un detalle que nos encantó y que marca una diferencia muy agradable, (porque es la primera vez que nos sorprenden los Host, después de haber alquilado muchas propiedades através de VRBO). Muchas gracias Mari & Giacomo. Las casas son amplias, bonitas y muy cómodas, están muy bien equipadas. El área social es muy amplia, provista de todo lo necesario y lo más importante cuenta con un refrigerador y parrilla, la piscina y el jacuzzi son bastante grandes. Con nuestro perro que es grande, no hubo ningún problema, no nos cuestionaron el tamaño, la pasó de maravilla (puntos extra), porque es importante para nosotros poder llevar a nuestra mascota siempre. La propiedad es grande y muy bien cuidada. Y lo mejor de todo, Entrada a las 11 a.m y Salida a las 2 p.m., excelente. !

Love it as always!

This isn't the first time we stayed at casa Prusia and won't be the last one either. The Small details always make our stay extraordinary. This is an amazing place to spend time with family or friends, this time to my surprise a third fridge was placed in the BBQ area making easier and more convenient to cook and keep drinks around. The house was pristine clean and the hosts were amazing as always, I definitely recommend Casa Prusia to anyone who wants to relax and expend some quality time with his close circles.

Wonderful Experience

We had a wonderful experience at this property. The owners are very nice people and when we arrived gave us an entire tour of the property and even left us two gift baskets. We spent two nights and we were more than impressed with the entire property. One big house, 3 bd fully equipped and a luxurious 2 bd apartment with everything we needed. The pool, Jacuzzi and BBQ is a perfect complement to a great vacation over seeing the ocean with excellent views to see the sunset and sunrise. Overall a great experience for the entire family and will definitely stay here again.

A great stay with customer obsessed hosts!

The property location is accessible to any car and very easy to find. Both houses are beautiful, fully equipped and incredibly cleaned. The pool has an amazing view of the coast and the comun area it's perfect to spend time with family and friends. Mari our host was amazing and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. She made sure we felt welcome and appreciated. To summarize we loved our stay and we are planning to come back soon!

Excelente atención

me parecio todo muy bien, desde la llegada, doña Mary muy amable y simpática, nos atendió de la mejor manera... el lugar super lindo, todo muy bien aseado, las casas son preciosas, super cómodas, con todo lo que uno puede necesitar, excelente todo, no hay queja alguna, la piscina muy bien, el lugar de BBQ super bien, en fin no se puede más.... y el precio super accesible.... los felicito y ojalá sigan así... saludos y gracias!!

Easy access from San Jose, the capital, (only 1.5 hours), centrally located to go either direction in Costa Rica. Close to beaches, volcanos and many other beautiful place. And of course being that it sitting on a hill top and that it is private it allows rest with a beautiful view.
