A magnificent country home

Wow, this home is so much more than we were expecting. It is a beautiful country house that has been beautifully renovated. This place is perfect for a multi-generational family stay with bunks and big rooms and then everything you need for a long weekend (pool, bbq, spa, pingpong, fireplace etc). Totally recommend! The township of Burra is delightful too.

Fantastic Rural Property

This is an excellent rural property. It is extremely well appointed throughout the whole house and all fixtures are of high quality. It is more spacious than expected having multiple living areas and a separate dining room. It is one of the best properties we have stayed in and I would love to return. If you have the opportunity to stay here then I would definitely do so.

A beautiful place to unwind and enjoy the view.

We stayed 3 nights with 4 adults and 4 kids aged between 18 mths and 10 years old. We used the wood heated spa, the fire pit, the pool table, the table tennis table and the useful Ziegler bbq. The facilities were beautifully presented, we loved the farm feel. The breathtaking views and the bright starry nights. A lovely place to relax. Thankyou for creating such a beautiful home to stay.

Don't avoid a trip to Goyder

We had three nights at Tiverina Park as a base for visiting Burra and the surrounding area. What a beautiful spot to come home to - a tranquil oasis. The house is fabulous and has everything you need. We really appreciated that nothing was overlooked, and the beds are extremely comfortable. Arrangements were straightforward and clear, although we couldn't find the keys for the plane! Only 20 mins from Burra, where the heritage passport is well worth doing. Great location and a seamless break. Thank you!

The property and house were absolutely beautiful, there is no doubt! being freezing cold, the house was plenty warm with a fire going and the reverse cycle heating. Very scenic and quiet if that is the escape you are after.Reasons for not giving 5 star:Wifi access is supplied, described as "generous" amount of download, but if it runs out will incur further payment for more data. 2.5hrs of internet access to watch 1 movie for a 3 night stay Hot tub isnt good for use in winter, whilst it is heated by fire, it only got the water to luke warm. Would be fine in the warmer weather. We had to not only do the typical and reasonably expected tidying on departure, but had to clean the hot tub, strip not only the bed sheets, but the doona/quilt covers and all pillow cases and take them to the laundry. As the council dont provide a rubbish removal service, we had to take all of our rubbish from the property at the end of our stay. Which on a rural property is a lot as you have to bring everything. Not completing these tasks would have incurred a fee. You only find out about these requirements and associated fees in the welcome email after paying for the accommodation. Which for 3 nights, for 4 adults in August (not school holidays or long wkend) was just over 1660 and included a 130 cleaning fee.Overall, very over priced for a "luxury escape" in which we had to dedicate a few hours of tidy up before we left. Not the best way to end a short, "relaxing", Mum's group get away.

Tranquil getaway with plenty of room

We stayed at Triverina park for Christmas. The property is a lovely homestead in the farmlands close to Burra. We enjoyed the space and the kids loved having room to run around outdoors. The games room offered some entertainment to adults and kids. Liz was responsive and informative. We really enjoyed our stay. It was a special place to celebrate Christmas as a family in tranquil surroundings. The house is well equipped with everything you need for entertaining dinner guests. Thank you Liz for opening your beautiful space to guests.

About the host

Host profile image
My family have owned this property for five generations. It has always remained a working property producing grain, wool, sheep, pigs and cattle throughout the years.

Why they chose this property

Unique family heritage.
Period features with modern renovation.
Several living spaces, inside and out.
Note this is a rural property and you will need to observe the septic system requirements, rain water usage , fire ban restrictions and remove your rubbish (to roadside stations in adjacent towns).

What makes this property unique

Outlooks from every room. Wood fire. Polished floorboards. Majestic rows of windbreak pines and gums. Crisp dawns and leisurely sunsets. Rustic farm and out-buildings. See HelloSA/Adelady on https://www.instagram.com/reel/DBYdGiyxeTl/ for a tour.
Highly rated on trip advisor cafes in nearby town of Burra. The unicorn sheep as seen on Bondi vet, wind turbines creating power are scattered on the hill tops.
The Heysen Trail, Sir Hubert Wilkins home. This area is the heart of merino sheep studs. Packed full of history and production nearby in the of town Burra. Copper ore was discovered in 1845 in Burra and it became the biggest copper mine in Australia .
