We've lived in Toronto for years now and love it. Leslieville and Riverdale have always been our home so we know them well. When not in Toronto we enjoy cottage life and travelling the world.

Why they chose this property

We've lived in the area for years and love the easy access to shops, restaurants, transit and highways. Howie is a quiet dead end street with amazing neighbours. There is a park at the top of the street with a playground, basketball nets and open space. Within minutes you can walk to the local butcher and small grocery store. If you don't want to cook you have many options along the vibrant Queen East. A few minutes west and you are at Jimmie Simpson Park that has tennis courts, basketball courts and an indoor community centre with a pool and gym. There is a lot of history in the neighbourhood, which is showcased on plaques throughout the area. We love it here.

What makes this property unique

We renovated our home about 5 years ago. It has been completely gutted and redone so it is clean, modern and fresh. We were able to expose some of the brick in the dining room and used reclaimed wood (taken from our roof when we added the third floor) to create a barn style door in the living room. We have pictures framed around the house showing the history of the neighbourhood.
Our backyard is a beautiful oasis with a sectional couch, swing and separate dining area...perfect for summer nights. The third floor adds so much space to the house. It can be used as the third bedroom or an entertainment area with a large projector screen...perfect for movies nights or to watch a game.
