Very quiet. No mosquitoes or gnats at all (first week in June). Clean and very comfortable with a great kitchen. Fantastic river view! We would highly recommend this place to our friends.
Close enough to the river to hear it. Right in Townsend. The apartment is perfect for 2 people. Communication with the owner is simple enough. I would stay here again.
This was a very good place, especially for couples who want to stay several days or more. It has a lot of bed and breakfast type of qualities yet rustic.
We had a great time in Townsend. There is a place to eat right next door - Little River Pub, if I remember correctly - which is very convenient, although we used the kitchen each morning to make breakfast. The rental was in a good location, and watching the river flow by while sitting on the porch was very relaxing. We stayed 2 nights and felt it was not enough time to see all there is to see in the area.
My husband and I were able to get a two night getaway. We LOVED the location on the river, the porch and rocking chairs to just listen to the river. The property is nice as well: fire pit/ sandwich/pub right on property. We would come again!!!
We enjoyed our stay at the Strawberry Patch Inn. The porch overlooking the Little River was our favorite part. We enjoyed watching the Canadian geese and their babies. Room was very clean and had everything we needed. Having the deli next door was convenient for sandwiches, drinks and live music! Temperature was adjusted by host when requested.
The stairs up were steep. It was well furnished. Had necessary toiletries. The king size bed was great and the linens were very soft. Loved sitting on the balcony and listening to the stream run and the birds sing. Would go again!!
Beautifully decorated, wonderfully located, immaculately cleaned describes the apartment we spent our 51st wedding celebration in. The host was incredibly nice and made check in easy. Whether we were in the apartment having lunch or on the deck having coffee in the cool morning breeze it was a memory not soon to be forgotten. We will go back.
Very nice property. It's too bad they were let down by Evolve, who did not send us the email about checking in. We ended up phoning a number we saw on a piece of paper attached to a room so that we could check in over the phone. Once we did that Wendy was very helpful and personable.

51st Anniversary
It was terrific!!! The apartment was very clean, nicely decorated, and situated on a beautiful location on the river. You can sit on the balcony and listen to the babble of the creek. Check in and out was a breeze. The host was polite. The area is situated about a 30 minute beautiful drive from Pigeon Forge. So you can plan a day trip to there. But there is lots to do in Townsend. Whatever you decide, this is a beautiful place to spend time in.
This was the first trip without kids that my husband and I had taken in years. The location was good was easy to find. Wendy was friendly and check in was relatively easy as well as check out.
There was no television but that was perfectly fine because it added to the peacefulness.
Sound travels through the building but everyone pretty much followed the “guiet time” guidelines which was great.
I do have to add that housekeeping does an excellent job. This was the cleanest place we have ever stayed.
Had a wonderful, restful time.

The upstairs porch was good , view very good , downstairs porch which you had to pass thru was cluttered ,lawnmower ,misc items all over , not pleasing, The first view as you drive in makes you question rooms . Not a welcoming view

Pros and cons
I understand the rules, just would not have booked a stay where the sound carries so much that you have to use your indoor voices after 9:30 and could not use the jacuzzi tub so as not to disturb the guest underneath. We get away so seldom and this was our anniversary weekend and we got to the point that we were afraid of doing something wrong and getting in trouble and we also were cognizant of our neighbors following the rules. The porch was nice and the rushing water in the creek was nice and the place was clean. Not our cup of tea. ☹️

Miss leading listing
This 3 old cabins from the 1800’s that have been moved and placed together in an apartment/ Inn style with 6 total rooms/ apartments together in one building there is NO PRIVACY you can hear everything going on in the rooms around you! The owner I believe lives I downstairs or very close and watch's the cameras and sees when you come and go! Yes its a beautiful location. The room was clean and just fine for my Husband and myself. However the there was no mention that it was an upstairs apartment in a shared apartment building where we would be able to hear everything and have to worry about everything and everyone around us hearing us walk around on the old creeky floors. And the tub and shower in our room had a lot of water damage that was not mentioned or shown in the picture. Nor was the fact that it was a deep tub that would have to be stepped over into. All and all it worked for a quick get away but we will not be back.

Not recommended
Whereas the apartment was clean and tidy, the outside of the building is not well kept. A lot of trash and other items laying about. The area is inconvenient for shopping for food items and last minute things you may have forgotten without driving a considerable distance. It is very close to the highway so there is traffic noise. No tv in the apartment and we were not able to connect to the Wi-Fi. Even though there is a fireplace you are not allowed to have a fire. The lady that checked us in remotely was rude. You must follow here directions to check in exactly and use multiple apps (text, WhatsApp and phone) She asked what time we were going to arrive and I told her it was a 3 hour trip, we were 10 minutes early and she made a comment that were were earlier than she expected. And made a comment that my truck wasn’t squared up enough in the parking area. It sort of started the stay off to a bad start.

birthday trip
Our initially interaction with the host was not pleasant at all, she was actually a little rude. Earlier in the day I texted her regarding the door code process and she sent back a long text that seemed to be the standard text with all the information regarding the stay and check in. she requested once we arrived and parked to call her which we did, once on the phone however it was hard to hear her over the running water from the river and wind and when i missed one of her directions she was wasn't friendly at all about, in fact my husband at that point no longer even wanted to stay. Then when I missed how she was going to send me the code for the door and asked her about it, she again was rude on the phone. The temperature in our room was controlled downstairs and we would need to reach out to her if we needed it changed, but her previous experience with her was so unpleasant we preferred to bundle up with extra blankets than contact her. We did enjoy our trip and everyone in the area was incredible friendly from the IGA to Peaceful Side Social, we would stay in this area again but definitely have no plans to stay at this location again.
Had a lovely stay. Great location to visit Cades Cove, National Park, Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge. The little apartment was perfect. Would love to come back and stay again sometime.
