The pool was not available but we had fun nonetheless! With the beach across the street the access was excellent. Parking for just one vehicle was a small issue but surmountable. The only issues with the unit were floors should be wet mopped, some kitchen pans discarded and the sofa was not very comfortable to sit on.
The spot was perfectly located for food, drink, entertainment, shopping & best of all…beach. The condo we had provided a great view towards the inter coastal. The space was ok…photos can be deceiving. We weren’t impressed with the room cleanliness (hair in both bathrooms…the sofa bed sleeper mattress had a horrible brown stain). Yet, it served its purpose for our 2-night stay. There is a contract company who outside of VRBO will make additional rules, that at best are super tight & strict—like “you must leave the room by 10 am or you will be locked out!” The rooms don’t have keys—they work off a code. So, in the end we had a good time, ate well & enjoyed our stay. But, we probably won’t be back.
Great proximity to the beach, food, and entertainment
Weekend beach trip with the girls. Unit is very clean. A little on the small side but that's okay. We didn't spend much time indoor anyway. 1 king bed, 2 queens, and a sofa sleeper. (Sofa is dated and not very comfortable at all. So unless the owner replaces, I wouldn't count on it as a sleeping option.) There's a balcony off the living room on the back of the building with a beautiful view of the sunrise and intercoastal. The beach is out the front of the building and a very short walk across the street. Tons of restaurants and shops (John's Pass) located right up the road. About a 10 minute walk if that. Overall, very pleased with this unit. Only one parking pass allowed per unit, though, so keep that in mind if you're traveling with friends and meeting there with multiple vehicles.
I’m torn about this place after our stay. While the location of it was nice it definitely came with its fair share of issues. The condo is comfy, the views are good and it’s right across the street from the beach.. so having a good time is right around the corner. The unit itself is ok.. one bathroom had almost no water pressure in the shower and the some of the tvs never worked in the bedrooms.. but it wasn’t the end of the world. But what also comes with this place.. it’s in this property’s second building (which no one explained when we checked in so finding it was a bit challenging) buttttt… in this second building there’s only one elevator and this condo is on the top floor.
Upon our arrival we were told how the elevator had broke before we got there and just been fixed. Which things happen no biggie, but it also happened to break again on our last night there, and was still broken when we went to checkout the following day. We had stayed almost a week, 5 people and a dog so there was a lot of us and stuff to bring down. We only received a extra hour before check out for us to carry all of our stuff up and down 7 flights of stairs multiple times in the heat of hot summer. Upon doing so we ran into the cleaning crew who told us that this is actually pretty common unfortunately with this building/elevator and has been out of service pretty often. By the time we left we were exhausted, out of breath, soaked in sweat and defeated.. just a terrible ending to our vacation.
Was a little hesitant, our stay was just as hurricane Ian was to hit Florida so, I messaged the property managers to see if it was possible under the circumstances to get a refund and was told at the time everything was still as planned. Ian hit the day before we flew out from Minnesota and Tampa International was closed till 10:00 am the morning we where to fly in. I tried to contact them the day before we flew out to see if there was any power to the unit since there were power outages all over the area and got no response. I tried again in the evening and still got no response. We ended up still going as planned and made a back up plan just in case. We were unsure of what to expect if the area was closed off because of the location, if there was going to be power or if the building had any damage since we didn't get a response. We still made the trip and made a plan B incase. Check in was fast and friendly. The unit was clean just needs a little paint. Loved to watch the boats from the balcony and a short walk to Johns Pass. The beach was just a walk across the road and was clean. We went to the beach every day and used the pool/spa almost everyday our stay. The weather was perfect every day.
When we arrived there were feet and hand black stains all on walls. Then upon further review out unit had not been cleaned. There was hair left on shower walls and when o was checking beds, as I always do in places we stay, I found more hair in the bed sheets. Like they just made the bed and didn’t change sheets. The guy who checked us in was the sweetest. It was not his fault. It sounds like management needs to look into housekeeping. I did receive a refund as we didn’t stay a night there.
This property was in a great location— across the street from the beach and just a short walk to John’s Pass for shopping and dining.
Condo had a pretty view of the marina and we enjoyed listening to the live music from Bamboo Beach Bar in the evenings.
This property was perfect for my friends and I. Easy walk to lots of bars, restaurants, and across the street from the beach. Beds were comfortable. We only had 3 people total in our group, so lots of room for us. Nice balcony to unwind and take in views of the inter-coastal waters. Would stay again.
We were a group of 5.
This rental is advertised to sleep 8 people. We found 7 dinner plates, 4 bowls, and 6 saucers. There is a large amount of silverware and glass ware, but plan on lots of dish washing. Speaking of, this is the only rental property I have ever used that did not provide a dish cloth, dish soap, or dishwasher detergent. There were some crusty used sponges in the back under the sink.
There are no beach/pool towels at this "beach resort".
There was 1 towel rack in the master bathroom, near the shower. There are no towel races near the sink. We did have 8 sets of towels.
The hot water heater is very small. We could not get 3 fast showers complete before the water got cold.
There is a washer and dryer, but no laundry basket. The sheets are very rough.
Seating is very limited. There is a 4 person table, but you need to find the chairs because only 2 are at the table. The couch is small with crowded seating for 3. There is another chair in the living room.
Location is fine, we walked to John's Pass a couple of times. I had planned on cooking some meals, but after seeing the kitchen we purchased breakfast items that required nothing more than opening.
I did call the management line and was told that they provide linen and "starter paper items". Everything else is provided from the owners.
The front desk staff was wonderful - our unit happened to be clean and available so they were able to provide a very early check-in. The location was perfect to be able to walk to restaurants and shopping. And just a short Uber ride to downtown St Petersburg. The unit was clean and exactly as pictured. Fantastic experience overall, would absolutely stay again and recommend to friends.
Within walking distance to John’s Pass. Clean unit; beds were so comfortable! Plenty of towels and linens! Will definitely be staying here again!
