My girls and I really enjoyed our stay! We spent the days hiking and exploring nearby State Parks, and we enjoyed hotdogs and s'mores at the fire pit in the evenings when we returned. They loved playing in the yard and exploring down at the creek bed as well. The cabin itself is cozy and welcoming. It was so incredibly clean, and the beds were comfortable!! The girls enjoyed the games, books, and movies when our last evening outside was rained out.I couldn’t have picked a better place for a quiet weekend getaway!

Quality Comfort in Parson WV
Loved this gem of a spot. The cabin had all the amenities we needed and was a great launching point to explore the area. Our weekend was filled with canoeing, hiking, exploring and restful respite at the Semper Fi Cabin once our daily adventures were complete. Looking forward to returning.

Very Nice!
We all enjoyed everything about our trip. Cabin was very nice, I would definitely recommend.
Well situated for making several day trips in the area. Cabin sits on a very spacious lawn - I doubt we would have heard anyone in the neighboring cabins.
My fiancee, dog and I spent a couple days at this cabin and it was lovely. Fair warning the area does not have any reception, but the cabin's wifi worked perfectly. Everything in the cabin was fresh and clean and it felt like home. Would definitely recommend.

Great cabin retreat
My wife and I stayed three night in the Simper Fi cabin while we explored the Elkins area. The cabin was very comfortable and the military theme and DAV accessibility was a plus. It was an honor to support the mission of Patriots 4.
SemperFi cabin was the perfect home base retreat for our excursions around the Elkins WV area. The cabin was perfectly located and a quiet peaceful retreat when we were relaxing. The babbling trout stream and the birds singing made for an idyllic atmosphere. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed.
The cabin was just as we expected from the listing. The host thoughtfully provided some toys for our young kids which helped keep them happy and entertained.
Weekend stay ,excellent property ,quaint town with friendly people .our dog loved the water .the only negative is that the direction link we were given was inaccurate which added an additional 2 hours to our trip .otherwise it was perfect ,we would certainly go again .

I expected a lot and received even more.
We absolutely had a wonderful time. The cabins are well kept with plenty of hot water and heat. The unit is far enough away from the hustle and bustle yet close enough to a couple of larger towns for picking up groceries. We will be returning!

From the owner: "We're so glad you enjoyed our retreat! Please come back again!"
The cabin was clean with everything we needed. The DVD was broken and the internet was not very good but everything else was good. The place was very peaceful and we loved the sound of the creak beside us.

Great Place to Stay
We enjoyed our stay at the Semper Fi cabin. The cabin was clean and comfortable, and there wasn't a detail that wasn't thought of; we had everything we needed for our stay. The location was the perfect launch pad for exploring the area--there are so many different things within a 45 minute radius, from small towns with unique shops and dining to state parks and national forests with great hiking, biking, and off-roading experiences, but it was also a quiet retreat for when we didn't want to go anyplace, just sit around the campfire, watch deer pass by, and listen to the stream out back. We also like that Patriots 4 supports veterans. All in all, it's a great place to spend a weekend...or longer!

Semper Fi Stay 2024
We had a great weekend at the cabin. A few things to note the charcoal bbq grill is about 8-10" in diameter and is about 10" off the ground (very small) not user friendly so if your planning on using it be prepared or bring your own. Also unless the vegetation gets cut back there is no direct access to the creek from the cabin. The fire pit is wonderful. Bring bug spray! Location is quite and very peaceful. Overall a good experience.

Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities, communication
I did not like the way the outside was maintained, or should i say not maintained. Weeds growing up through the decks, only grass areas out in the open were cut, had to sit in 2ft tall grass to use the fire pit and picnic table, decks were full of leaves, dirt, and spider webs, tree limbs blocking the driveway, had to drive over a hill to park without scratching my vehicle up. And when i contacted the person who was supposed to be my " point of contact", the only response I received was " sorry you're not pleased". No further response or resolution was made. It was beautiful in 2024, not so much in 2025.

Got to love the military services theme
It was a great experience and I loved all the Wood paneling in the ceiling in the walls. Great decor for a cabin, such as that. Two quibbles: one minor, the other exasperating, but the latter one may not really be the properties fault or the evolve property management, except for not providing a map on the instructions and addressCell service is sketchy at best in those mountains of West Virginia. The property needs a better stove and definitely needs a light over the stove because it is dark and difficult to cook on the stoveThe major quibble is that there was no map to the property providing the state routes that feed onto the street or driveway. Yes I was provided an address and the address said Parsons. It was really in a small hamlet called St. George.Google maps put it in the middle of Parsons based uponthe address that was provided. And Google maps couldn’t even be consistent because it was pointing toward a printing company in Parsons. And then another time elsewhere in Parsons. Finally, on the third try Google maps provided the correct location in St. George’sPlease kindly provide a map, a snippet of a map showing where the intersection is for the two state routes and show where the cabin is. I arrived late at night during a strong rain storm, and it was extremely frustrating. Having a snippet of a map would be a great and necessary enhancement.
There was a mix up with the booking and the property had not been cleaned thoroughly from the last visitors. The property manager and local contact remedied the issue and the stay was still fantastic. I would absolutely recommend this cabin for anyone wanting to visit the mountains of West Virginia.
