We stayed here to attend a vintage car gathering in nearby Dillard. It was perfect for our needs with good parking for our car trailer. The cabin itself was clean and spacious. Great place!
We had a great time and look forward to staying again. The location is perfect; the home was very clean and spacious enough for our little family and my in-laws. We enjoyed our stay! Thank you!
There aren’t many short term rentals in Sky Valley. This is a great property. The property manager is the best we’ve ever worked with. Kitchen is small but well equipped. There’s a lovely deck with nice grill and fire pit. We enjoyed our visit very much!
Spent five days after Christmas. It was a busy season and this house and location provided rest and refreshment. We were able to chill out, walk, visit the waterfall and see family who live nearby.
I’m so happy I found this place! We had a great stay at this cute mountain home. It was stocked with everything and the internet was better than where we just came from in Atlanta. Our manager Mark was great and super helpful with area information. The golf course, hiking trails, waterfalls and zip line park were great! We are definitely coming back to check out more of the area.
Overall it was great.. microwave definitely needs replacing (bottom is coming apart and other issues). The view speaks for itself!! Will definitely plan another trip..

From the owner:"Hi Kim! We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us and enjoyed the views! We are sorry about the issue with the microwave. Thank you for letting us know. We are replacing it and you should have no problems for your next stay!"
Overall, the property was great. Location was perfect with a view from the balcony overlooking the golf course and church. Short drive or walk to the country club for a round of golf or a dip in the pool. The community gym could use some upgrades, but overall a great place to stay. Short drive to Highlands, NC, Franklin, or Clayton.
So peaceful. Sitting on deck, gorgeous view with carillon bells chiming on the hour, reading books. Home had everything we needed. Special shampoos and soaps nice touch. Thank you for a lovely ten days. Will be back.
My family (2 parents, 2 older teens, 1 dog) rented the Lazy Bear as our home base for a long mountain weekend. The house was perfect for our needs -- parents had the master on the main level and the teens enjoyed having their own rooms on the first floor. There was plenty of space for us to gather around the fireplace to play games. The kitchen is small, but equipped with the necessities to prep family meals. The house is in a quiet neighborhood (the bells chiming from the chapel was so lovely!) with an easy waterfall hike right down the road! From Sky Valley we visited Clayton, GA, Tallullah Falls State Park, Black Rock Mountain State Park, Highlands, NC and several waterfalls in the area -- Glen Falls and Dry Falls are memorable hikes! The property manager called prior to check-in to provide information about the area and ensure all of our questions were answered. We would definitely consider this home again!
Overall I enjoyed the trip. It was very relaxing. However, I was disappointed that the place didn’t have a hot tub in with the house. The pictures are a little disappointing. We were told a day after we were there that the pool was closed, which is fine. Our key card didn’t work and when we tried to get it fixed, no one was around to help us. Also, there was a blanket in the house that had several holes in it. Also, the kitchen is very very tiny. I could not wash dishes and open the fridge all the way. Other than that, it was a very relaxing trip.

Hi Sammi, we’re so glad you had a comfortable stay, but we’re sorry other aspects fell short of expectations. After sending your feedback to the owner, they’d like to share the following:- We understand the importance of comfort when staying at our property so we will be reviewing all blankets to remove any that do not reflect our high standards- We have both a hot tub and pool that are available within our community, neither are at our unit as reflected on the listing. We understand the pool was closed during your stay and our Property Manager was able to assist you via phone call with alternatives including hot tub hours and location- Our Property Manager provided hours for the front desk to assist you as well as offer to help if anything else came up, and he did not receive any additional questions- Regarding our kitchen facilities, we believe the size is accurately depicted in the listing photos and you are able to wash dishes while the refrigerator is openThank you again for the feedback, we do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests!
Well-maintained cottage close to center of Sky Valley community perched halfway up a hill. Excellent East and SE exposure with good sun - especially in the AM. Generous deck with grill and fire pit (we didn’t use either). Cottage (kitchen, especially) might feel a little small for a full house (3 BRs) but fine for two of us. Sadly, a day ahead of time they advised the gas fireplace wasn’t working and they didn’t get it fixed before we left; (no reason to believe that such problems are characteristic as everything else is in excellent condition). We could have used it as this is Feb. WiFi, etc. all good. Stayed a little over a week and would do it again.
The house and property are exactly as pictured! My husband and I and our two large dogs stayed for a week and absolutely loved it. Everything was clean, the bathrooms and kitchen were well-stocked, making it easy to stay in when we wanted a quiet day "at home." The views from the house are gorgeous (even after all the leaves have fallen), and the property manager Mark was very welcoming and easy to talk to. It's easy to get to great hiking and waterfalls as well as to Dillard and Clayton in GA, and to the Highlands in NC for great shopping, eating, and wineries. We absolutely love this area, and the house was perfect for our November vacation.
