We enjoyed our stay at the Towns Inn, one night while biking from Pittsburgh to DC. It’s nicely located for cyclists, near a coupe of restaurants and ice cream. Our room was very comfortable, check in was easy, and we were able to wash our bikes and store them overnight in the patio.
A wonderful place to stay both the in INN the city
I am so happy that we chose the INN that we stayed at in Harpers Ferry. The staff was wonderful. It was such a great experience. They have all amenities. The town and the beauty surrounding the town were absolutely beautiful and the history there is amazing. I would highly recommend it and I look forward to going back someday.

Disliked: Listing accuracy
I was not aware the bathroom was at the enf of the hall outside of the room.
Parking was extremely difficult, not just off sight but many steep steps. Supposedly the room slept 4 but it was cramped for two, no shelves, no where to put a suitcase. Some of the outlets didn’t work as well as a lamp. On a positive note the location was great for being right in town.
I brought my two teenage daughters here on the first leg or our college tour week. I loved the feel of the inn. It reminded me of a European hostel. We had our own room, of course, but the inn sells a variety of food and allowed us to use the kitchen. We hung out in the common areas and played some of the games. For my daughters, this was a completely different hotel experience than a traditional chain hotel. It was perfect!
Pros. Check in was easy. Owner and I am guessing her assistant welcomed us room was clean bed very comfortable.
Con’s. Lighting in room was inadequate for reading unless you used the lights on the fan which were harsh and not a relaxing light arrangement. Lock on entrance door to room was not very secure if not at all. Door knob did not keep door closed, you had to use the dated lock above. Bathroom was down the hall. Private and clean. But, the first time I tried to take a shower there was not hot water. I let it run for a least 7 mins. It would get lukewarm and then very cold and stayed cold. Other than that it was just ok! Not worth the high price.
