Scandi Coastal-Private & Cozy 2 bdrm walkout basement.

Welcome to our warm and welcoming Cape Cod style home which sits on a beautiful, private and tree filled yard. This is a sunny walk-out basement unit (not wheelchair accessible), with a separate entrance for added privacy (we live on the upper level). It offers two guest bedrooms (both have Q/S beds), 3-PC bath, apartment size kitchen (but fully equipped) and a large rec. room with wood burning stove which opens onto a large ground level deck where you can sit and enjoy the privacy of the trees that surround you, spot the many species of birds. Enjoy the outdoor fire pit with a glass of wine from several of our local wineries, or if beer is more your thing, we have lots of great local breweries to chose from.

We are close to all main highways, 25 minutes to downtown Halifax, less than 15 minutes from the Halifax International Airport and about 30 minute from Lawrencetown Beach Provincial Park. So many beautiful lakes in the area, great golf courses and several wonderful walking trails close by...and of course never that far from some great ocean beaches and all those quaint small towns that dot our coastline. Surrounded by nature but yet close and convenient to everything. The best of both worlds.

Exceptional Accomodation
Everything we anticipated and more. A complete home away from home. So very inviting, every need met. Definite pride of ownership reflected throughout. Have stayed in my private rentals and can honestly say it is one of the best. Definitely a winner and Treena was a pleasant and easy host to deal with.

Unfortunate choice
This property looks exactly like the photos. Although a little tight on space it has almost everything you need for a pleasant stay except a closet in one bedroom (no place to hang clothes) and easy access to electric outlets for charging electronics. Our problem was the access to the unit. It is a walk out basement. I was advised there was a "slight slope" to get to the unit. Unfortunately i would term it an uneven embankment. This would be fine for young healthy people. Unfortuneately for seniors it is a dangerous hill with holes and very uneven. We stayed for two days but when the forcast called for rain we felt it was too dangerous to navigate on slippery wet grass. I asked the owner to call me but she was "unavailable" so I emailed we would be checking out. She said they had never had a problem before and she could not refund us any money for the remaing 5 days of the reservations. I learned a very expensive lesson.

I am originally from Nova Scotia and have been living and working outside of the province for many years. It finally occurred to me and my husband...Why don't we move to Nova Scotia? We didn't have one good reason not to but had endless reasons to move back. For me, it was moving back home and probably the best decision we ever made. Now we want to share our home and our beloved Nova Scotia with you. We have spent the last few years doing a fair bit of travelling (and yes...always staying in vacation rentals) and now we want to bring some of those experiences to help you make your stay with us comfortable and hopefully memorable. We love food and happy to give lots of tips on where to go, we love to travel, fish, play golf and food (oh did I mention that already?).

We love the privacy and space our home has and are now happy to share that with you.

What makes this property unique

Private and large back deck which includes a fire pit and lounge chairs to relax. We have tried to create a comfortable and collected space with a Scandinavian, Coastal vibe and we hope you enjoy it.
We are also less than 15 minutes from the Halifax International Airport and only 20 mins into downtown Halifax which makes it a convenient lacation.
