Great view cannot make up for issues

This house is much more dated than it appears in the listing. I booked with my wife and two daughters (11, 10) and we arrived to a very hot, stuffy house that had a dead cockroach in the kitchen. The beds appeared to be air mattresses on old bed frames and everything was worn and grungy. The outdoor area has a section with piled up wood scraps with safety tape around it. My girls walked right out and we ended up scrambling to find other accommodations. The owner threw the book at us with the cancellation policy and offered a measly $73 refund for the over $1000 USD stay for two nights (high season). Buyer beware.
