Rural property, bright night skies, centrally located to regional attractions
The Dunedoo Shearers' Huts are located on a working sheep and cattle property located between the historic town of Gulgong and Dunedoo. The recently fully restored huts stand side by side. Hut 1 includes the main bedroom and bathroom. Hut 2 includes the kitchen, sitting room and second bedroom with 2 singles. All rooms have reverse cycle air conditioning and feature original artworks created by artist/host Lucy Watts. Hosts Lucy and Stuart enjoy that guests can make the huts their completely private and self contained home away from home while they relax in comfort, marvel at the brightly star lit night skies, toast marshmallows on the outdoor fire or take walks along the many property tracks. Those looking to venture beyond the property are within an easy drive to the many attractions the region has to offer - Central West Cycle Trail, Wellington Caves, Mudgee wineries and restaurants, bushwalking, The Dubbo Western Plains Zoo and more.......

We had a delightful stay at the Shearer's Huts and had a great time testing our telescopes and astrophotography while we were there. Beds are comfy, kitchen is cute, fridge was generously full. We appreciated the fire pit on cold nights too. Lucy is a wonderful host.
Original shearers sheds on a large working farm. The sheds are clean, renovated inside and beautifully decorated. Very comfortable with heating and cooling. When we arrived the fridge was amazingly generously stocked and Lucy had even provided homemade pesto for dinner which was delicious.
The vista was beautiful with rolling hills and, large sunsets. There were many many sheep to watch.
We were lucky enough to see some shearing and drenching of the sheep.
The owners are lovely and gracious people who are always happy to help and have a chat.
The tennis court and pool are in mint condition.
The stay exceeded my expectations. I was looking for a quiet escape from covid craziness and found it to be truly relaxing and rejuvenating.

We really enjoyed having Nina and Karl to stay. A lovely couple - considerate and caring. They were perfect guests in every way. Highly recommend Nina and Karl to other hosts.
We hope they come back for another stay soon. They will always be very welcome here.
Lucy was a helpful and attentive host, giving me assistance when needed and confidence in the process. There’s many amenities at the accommodation and the property is a lovely farm with secluded views and lots of space. We were able to go on a few walks and enjoy the pool and tennis court
