Escape to our 2-bedroom Hamptons Coastal inspired cabin and bask in the comforts of home while surrounded by the tranquility of a serene bush setting with views of Lake King. Unwind on the deck with a glass of wine as you watch boats sail by, or gather around the fire pit at night to toast marshmallows while stargazing.

Metung Village is just a short 5-minute drive away, or head to Lakes Entrance for fresh seafood straight off the boat, only 20 minutes away. For those seeking adventure, hire a boat, kayak or SUP, or book an Eco Cruise. A visit to the Buchan Caves and Bullant Brewery is also a must.

The main bedroom features a plush queen size bed adorned with the softest linen and a charming window seat perfect for watching the incredible sunsets. The second bedroom, our cozy bunk room, boasts a double bed with a single overhead and a functional desk space that provides water views for those who need to work during their stay.

Our open-plan kitchen and living area are comfortably sized and well-appointed with an oven, stove top, dishwasher, and coffee machine - everything you need to make your stay feel like a home away from home. The European laundry offers a washing machine, iron, ironing board, and washing powder for your convenience.

We supply towels and linen for the confirmed number of guests, as well as shampoo, conditioner, soap, and a hairdryer. Stay warm and cozy in winter with our split system heating and newly installed electric wood heater, and cool off in summer with the same system that provides cooling.

Relax outside in our outdoor lounge or fire up the BBQ and enjoy a glass of wine while taking in the stunning views. We provide wood for the fire pit, so you can toast marshmallows and make s'mores to your heart's content. Our smart TVs in the bedrooms and living area provide movie, music, and social media entertainment, and Netflix is included for your viewing pleasure.

This is a beautifully presented cottage with glimpses of the lakes. It's bright, clean and an easy place to stay with a fabulous outdoor area to entertain.The bunk area for a family with a child would work really well.All the mod cons are there, like a large fridge/freezer, dishwasher as well as a European laundry, coffee machine and quality products throughout to support your stay. I couldn't fault it.

A very pleasant and well equipped cottage. In a quiet neighborhood about 5 minutes from the Hot Springs. An added bonus was that there was a resident (cute!) wombat that would come out every evening around sunset to graze on the front lawn. Recommend and would stay here again

Peaceful getaway

The accommodation has a good feel with the interior design. Lovely quiet location, with only the sounds of bird life during our three night stay. Bed is really comfortable, so a good nights rest. Host, Paula was great with communication and provided milk, butter, eggs and fresh local bread which was great for breakfast until you can get to the shops. We would suggest if coming from Melbourne direction, to purchase food supply’s at Bairnsdale on your way to Metung. The accommodation has good heating and really nice touches with locally made soaps, jam etc. We would highly recommend using ‘our Metung stays’ for Good quality accommodation. Enjoy…. we did :)

You can curl up in a warm blanket in the window seat of the master bedroom at Lakeview Retreat Metung and watch the water change colors as boats pass by, or you can cozy up in front of the fire at Mountford Cottage. Both homes offer a unique experience that will make your stay unforgettable.

We believe our homes tie in well with the new Metung Hot Springs experience, which opened in November 2022. We offer packages that include access to the hot springs, so ask us for more information.
