The condo was absolutely perfect! The pools and hot tubs were great. The ocean access could not be any better. Also, the staff was super friendly and helpful.
This condo was so spacious and had everything we needed! The balcony was really great and so big! We loved spending our mornings out there... It was great to have the beach chairs and umbrella available on the beach each day as well. The one thing we had to get used to was some of the sounds from the elevator and from some people above us on a couple of nights but other then that this was a great condo and wee would stay here again for sure!!!
Everything was great, if I was going to complain, it would be the elevators. We were on the 15th floor and the elevators were always full, I can just imagine what it would have been like during the busy season. That one little annoyance didn't hamper our enjoying our stay. Would highly recommend. Communication with the personnel was great. They took care of a little problem we had and had to change names on our reservations. Very quick responses to my emails.
Condo was extremely clean! Probably the cleanest I have ever stayed in. That is the most important thing to me when booking a place to stay. The location was great and close to everything. The resort itself is dated. The biggest issue we had was the elevators. We were on the 15th floor so taking the stairs with 3 kids, beach wagon and all the beach items was impossible. I highly recommend if you are staying at this resort to book a condo on a lower level. With that being said the condo owner was in no way at fault with this issue. We made the best of it and just remembered we were on vacation and we had plenty of time.
The condo is AMAZING. It was huge, clean, quiet and very very worth the money. My family had a blast. The elevator situation however is ATROCIOUS!!!!! Yes during check in (3-6 pm) and check out (9-10am) is EXTREMELY hectic. That is all Tidewater resorts fault. NOT THE CONDO MANAGEMENT!!!! Tidewater needs to install about 7 more elevators, and they could very easy. I 100% recommend this condo but be fore warned, you will wait for elevators at anytime during the day. We may or may not book this one again. I haven't made my mind up yet. I know it doesn't matter to the management company whether or not I rent again, but I needed to write it. 🙁

Tidewater debacle
If the condo itself was at another property we would book again but The Tidewater is an absolute hot mess and the most frustrating and aggravating place I have ever stayed. From the long check in process (which resembled a Las Vegas hotel line), to the absolute joke of the elevator system, we could not of been more frustrated with a resort. If they spent half as much money on fixing the elevators as they do on security guards that tell you to get your drink out of the pool, this place would probably be a top notch resort. So if you literally enjoy waiting a minimum or 30 minutes for an elevator, hiking numerous flights of stairs, or walking yards and yards just to find an open place on the beach to not be on top of other families, then this place is for you. Summary: stay someplace else!!!!!!!!
The condo itself was amazing. Very well kept and close to all the attractions. The actual resort is another story though. Check-in was not until 4 and we arrived at 5:30. The front desk staff had already left for the day and they had a temporary check-in stand. When we went to check in they did not give us a parking pass nor wrist bracelets in our packets. They ended up having to give us temporaries on everything and we would have to come back in the morning to get everything that we needed. The other issue with the resort is the elevators. At any given time only about half were operational and that was a good day. Talking to some of the residents that live here year around said that it is always like this. When we checked out of the condo we had to wait over an hour to get an elevator to take our luggage to the car. With all this being said there was absolutely nothing wrong with condo. If we’re not for the elevators we would love to stay here again. But with it being an apparent ongoing issue that is never resolved we will not be coming back to Tidewater Beach Resort.
The unit itself was nice. Plenty of space for our family of 5. Great views from the balcony. However, based on our experience we won’t be returning to this building. The elevators really are an issue as others stated. A couple times we chose to take the stairs 15 floors, which are not only inconvenient to get to (not accessible from bottom floor) and difficult with 3 young kids, but were being used both times for spring breakers to smoke pot in. There was work being done on the condo above us that sounded like tile being chiseled up. The weather was chilly while we were there so the kids hoped to use the indoor pool. However, despite this being an incredibly large building the indoor pool can hold about 20 people so it was often too full. The outside pools are not heated so they were too cold to use and had food floating in them the day we tried to use it. We ended up leaving a day early, which is so disappointing after what we spent on this vacation.
Overall it was a great experience, the beach was not over crowded, the condo was just as described, well clean the only thing I didn't like was the couch being a little dirty but it's understandable, the color is very light and hard to keep clean. Also in the middle of the week I wanted to ask for another set of sheets but I couldnt comunicate with anybody.
I read a lot about the elevator issues and well is mid sep the place was not completely full so it went all right untill the last day, a lot of people were checking out and the elevator just couldn't keep with all the people that need it. We have to wait almost 1 hr, we had an appointment for pictures before going home to wich we couldn't made it on time and it also made us run behind on the time we had set to be back at home 🥴.
Still had a blast. I could book again around the same dates and I would not check out on a Sunday at 10 am.
Tidewater did not disappoint. The room was very nice and clean, As well as the building. Right on the beach access made it easy to carry our stuff down and set up. Pool area is really nice too. (To cold for us in early April)
Overall a very good stay 😄
