Start your day in the hot tub overlooking a private sand beach on Lake Erie. Comfortable year-round beachfront home with spectacular views located on dead end private road. Lorraine Bay is a beautiful quiet area less than 7 km east of downtown Port Colborne ON. When you've had enough of soaking, swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding and relaxing on your very own beach, you can always go for a walk in the rare Carolinian forest of Firelanes 1 and 2, ride your bike on the Greater Niagara Circle Route only 2 km away, or go to the Port Colborne Farmer's Market and get some retail therapy in the quaint shops of West Street.

Island Paradise on Lake Erie

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this rambling retrreat on the hill, where the view takes your breath away every sunrise and sunset! Elaine and Peter were exceptional hosts, meeting with me at checkin and giving me every necessary detail of the property and the area to make the most of our visit to their lakefront home. Everyone enjoyed the clean beach, spotless hot tub, kayaks, and amenities in the home. It was the perfect place for our family reunion to relax together in style. Even through some rain and windy periods over our weekend, the house comfortably accommodated the 8 of us! We are definitely going to stay here again in the future, and would recommend this property!!

Wow! What a beautiful spot. This beach home is perched looking over an expansive sand beach. The views go on for ever. My kids loved the water toys (paddle board, kayaks, Lilly pad ). I loved the immaculately maintained hot in that looked over the lake. The kitchen is perfectly outfitted with anything you could want. And the house has room for everyone to spread out and be comfortable. Who needs a three hour drive to Muskoka when this gem of a house/beach is so close!

Beautiful girl's weekend and celebrating my mothers birthday.

Elain and her husband are wonderful people. They walk you through everything at the property. They keep thier property in top shape and it shows. The location is so calm and relaxing. The sound of the waves hitting the shore and sitting on the cliff over looking is amazing. The water toys were so fun. The ac units in the house kept us nice and cool during the heatwave. They are very quick at responding if you need info. We stayed in june and loved it so much we wanted to book again in july but they were booked. Everything you need they have at the property. We can not wait to go back and enjoy this beautiful property. Oh and private beach was amazing. Thank you for a wonderful place to enjoy a relaxing weekend.

Week in Port Colborne

House was great and even better than the photos. Check in and out was super easy. Elaine and Peter are exceptionally hospitable. House had pretty much anything you could need. Our fam loved the hot tub even in hot weather. Port Colborne is very small. Good coffee shop. Bring your bikes as the bike trail is just down the road and an easy ride to town. Niagara Falls is about 30min away. Niagara on the Lake is about 45min. Check out 905 Rentals about 20min away for seadoos, kayaks, SUPs. We had a great time zipping around for an hour on a hot day. This house is excellent if you want to be away from it all but close enough to go places here and there. The swim mat was super fun. Having a fire on the beach was awesome. The beach also had a ton of “sea” glass. House had ample space for 4 adults and 4 kids. Good place to escape for a bit.

Quiet and secluded

We are so pleased to have found this place and will most definitely look to return. We had been vacationing at another cottage in the area, which we loved, but it was not available for our preferred dates. This place tops that in location alone. We literally had the beach to ourselves for a few days, including one Sunday. Hosts Elaine and Peter were a pleasure to deal with. Peter even kindly thought to drop off some delicious freshly picked corn for us one day.

Amazing view! House is set up in a cliff over looking Lake Erie. Steps down to private beach!

Hosts were amazing, great communication. Lots of toys to entertain at the beach, kayaks, lily pad and paddle board. Because it’s a private beach we had a fire on the beach, which was a first for us.

Amazing place to bring the family!

We loved all the amenities of the house. The water was perfect and was gradual enough to have the little kids play safely with practically the whole beach to ourselves. Kayaking on the lake was fantastic and the views couldn't be beat. Hot tub was the cherry on top! Great supplies of anything you could need with a cute town just 5 minutes away. Close enough to spend time at Niagra Falls but you will want to spend as much time as possible since it's that great! :)

The location was amazing! The property owner was very helpful and attended to our every need. The only additions include more drinking glasses and fans for bedrooms. We were a party of 9 and did not have enough drinking glasses. Two of the bedrooms did not have fans. It was cool at night but a fan of some sort would have made it more comfortable.

Niagara Falls Vacation

Our goal was to take my older parents and my 4 children to the falls. The house was around 30 minutes away. We were able to relax and play in such a peaceful waterfront neighborhood, riding bikes on a paved park trail to town for ice cream, using the renters kayaks and paddle board. My parents loved just watching the waves and water with a spectacular view. We will come back I highly recommend it!!!

FABULOUS!!!

We just had a wonderful week vacation!! This is more than a "cottage", it's a fabulous home with all the amenities one needs. Elaine and Peter were A+ hosts. Cooking was a delight in the gourmet like kitchen facing out to the water. The open concept has wall to wall windows allowing for the lake air to breeze through. Bedrooms are spacious, clean and beds are all comfortable. The beach is sandy and the lake was enjoyed with all the water toys provided. Pictures provided by host are 100% accurate but there is much more to enjoy. This is a MUST stay!!! Thanks Elaine and Peter, I look forward to returning. David

Found everything as described - great location, private, very comfortable, clean and with every amenity we'd have needed for a relaxing week of holiday time. The home is very comfortable in a quiet area and really enjoyed the private sandy beach. Short drive for groceries and enjoyed touring some of the local areas. Elaine is a great host and timely with communication. Had a perfectly relaxing and restful week. Would definitely return and easily recommend to others.
