With over 300 days of sun per year, the micro-climate of Valais lends itself to outdoor sports; in summer the temperature can reach 30 degrees C, but due to it’s high altitude (1400M) the air remains fresh and comfortable.
Local sports facilities: The Penthouse directly overlooks the sports centre of Nendaz, giving a birds eye view of the year round activities that are open to all: these include:
Football pitches. The Para Gliding landing site. Horse-riding. Children’s playground and bike obstacle course. Trampoline. Climbing wall. Ice Rink (winter). Tennis courts (summer).

Why they chose this property
I chose this Duplex Penthouse apartment as it occupies the entire top floor (penthouse level 5) and half of the floor below of a substantially built East / West facing building right in the centre of the village, with panoramic views over the Sports centre one way and down the valley towards Sion when looking the other. Apart from the vast open plan lounge and kitchen which is great for a communal meal, or for just sitting in front of the fire in the winer after a hard days skiing, there are also 3 very large balconies that serve the lounge and all four bedrooms, which are so relaxing to be on, particularly in the summer.
I really value space in a holiday home, and the 4 double bedrooms and 2 main bathrooms (+1 ensuite) , enable guests to spread out and have their own space when they need it.
There is a large supermarket on the ground floor of the building, accessed by a lift, meaning that shopping couldn't be easier.
I also like to have bars and restaurants on hand without having to walk anywhere or use the car.

A log fire at night is a luxury and this apartment has a fantastic fireplace in the louge which is a focal point when enjoying your apres-ski drink.
There is a private outdoor car park that up to two cars can use ; three balconies with the main one being west facing which captures the sun all afternoon right up to sun-set.
The central village location is ideal, and a passenger lift just across the car park takes you to the top of the village where the main telecabine is to be found (the Tracouet) linking you to the Four Valleys ski domain.
There is a heated ski / boot room in the basement for added convenience.
