Enjoy your vacation in this unique and inspired all-season Canadian cottage. A complete oasis and architectural dream, you’ll enjoy not only the privacy of this lavish retreat nestled inside a calm and quiet bay, which boasts 4,500 feet of waterfront with a sandy beach on 111 private acres, but also the many activities which are included with the cottage such as: kayaking, canoeing, paddle boating, firepit, putting green, horseshoe pits, and bocce ball. Enjoy swimming, fishing, boating in the pristine water (motorboat and Sea-Doo rental nearby), or enjoy a round of golf just minutes away at The Ridge at Manitou (one of the most stunning courses in Canada). Relax with a morning coffee or glass of wine on the floating dock steps from your door, lounge with a book on a Muskoka chair, nap swinging gently in a hammock, or exercise your culinary muscles using a charcoal kamado and propane BBQ conveniently located under one of four covered porches. Indoors, play a game of pool or relax by the bar in front of a large screen TV. In fall, take advantage of the breathtaking colors of the Canadian forest, or enjoy a long hike through the various wooded trails on the expansive property. Winter lovers will enjoy the beauty of the outdoors by trekking through the trails by snowshoe, cross country skiing (ski club minutes away at the Parry Sound Cross-Country Ski Club), or try your hand at some ice fishing, snowmobiling (rental nearby and main trails that pass through the lake), ice skating/hockey on the frozen lake, or simply snuggle up by the log-burning fire. No matter the season, this retreat has something for everyone.

An absolutely stunning property and home, we had an amazing stay. The retreat had every amenity possible. Communication with the host was efficient and easy. Check in and check out were very simple. Would highly recommend and will stay again!
Let me say this property is definitely a piece of art. The view was spectacular. What you see in the ads are exactly how it looks like.
We came with 8 seniors + 4 mid age. The master bedroom is on the first floor it was easily accessible by my 100 yr old. The kitchen was well equipped and big enough for food preparation. There is a charcoal and a propane grill side by side so feeding 12 people would not have issue.
There are kayak, step boat, board games for entertainment. We brought our tv pad so the senior could watch some Asian news and drama. Yes no worries about the internet it is UNLIMITED.
Being at a new big place like this, we had lots of questions i.e. where the AC switch, light, tv hdmi, games etc. Ralph responded very quickly and had a video call to walk thru with us where things are and what to expect.
We had a memorable trip. Thanks to Ralph. Thumbs up.
We spent 5 wonderful days and 4 nights in this spectacular timber log retreat. It was the perfect place for our family to gather and relax! Everything outlined in the listing was accurate. We were awe struck with the interior design and the kitchen had everything we needed! The outdoor amenities also delivered!! We left feeling refreshed and with great Canadian family memories.
Thank you to the owner Ralph who was an excellent host.
THE BUILDING AND PROPERTY WAS SPECTACULAR
A THOROUGH CLEANING OF THE OVEN AND COB WEBS IN THE CORNERS
IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE IF WE HAD SOAP AND SHAMPOO AS IN HIGHER TIER RESORTS
We could not have asked for a better cottage experience! The host Ralph and his stepfather Wolfgang are very friendly and responsive. The cottage itself is beautiful with great finishes, every space/room has been well thought out and there are so many activities to do. We thoroughly enjoyed the dock and water activities as well as the fire pit on site. The space is so serene and calming, it's a great escape. I would definitely go back again.
We spent our Family Day weekend at this spectacular log home - what place, what a setting! Coming with a large group (12) we had plenty of room and things to do. The property is so lending, whether we spent time outside on the lake trying our luck fishing or hiking or spending time inside cooking in a well stocked kithchen and admiring the view of the lake from inside. Our host was super responsive and accomodating.
Highly recommended, its beautiful! cheers

About the host
Hosted by Ralph Rossdeutscher
This property is my favorite place in the world. The cottage was completed in 2007 and was a labor of love as we designed it and watched it become a reality at the hands of many master craftsmen. Due to the size and location it has been a fantastic place to relax and enjoy family.
