We Loved RiverRun!

We've visited Lake Lure every Fourth of July with a group of friends for the past 15 years, and this property was one of our absolute favorites. The secluded river was great for floating and swimming and the house was perfect. Highly recommend!

Beautiful, peaceful property! Perfect for a few families to get away. The only issue we had were that there were dead bugs and cobwebs all over. Maybe if the property hasn’t been used in a couple of weeks a cleaning crew should come check it out before a group checks in.

We celebrated our 45th Anniversary with the family and our grandchildren said it was the most fun, best place ever! Of course the adults loved it too! The children loved spending time in the creek, seeing the wildlife and spending time around the fire pit in the evenings. We also went into Lake Lure and went to the top of Chimney Rock. Close to everything and lots to do…..Perfect!

Relaxing

River Run was great.. While we were there we had about 4 inches of rain, it rained the entire time. What was great about this house was that there was still room for everyone to be comfortable! Everyone enjoyed the game room and the pool table, and it was great being able to sit out on the covered decks.

I have to say the home was absolutely amazing! We arrived on Sunday and we're very pleased with the location especially the access to the water. We brought floats and honestly spent countless hours enjoying the backyard. Nice fire pit we made s'mores several evenings and enjoyed many mornings sitting on the deck admiring the view. We were able.to see deer and an otter while there which the kids truly enjoyed. Plenty of room in the house and very well stocked. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone visiting Lake Lure!

Beautiful area, not 3 full bathroom though

The cabin is beautiful and in a pretty spot, very clean & well appointed. However, it’s listed as a 4 bedroom 3 bathroom, when in fact it is 2.5 bathroom. We wouldn’t have booked this if we’d have known 8 people would be sharing only 2 showers, so that was misleading. For our group, that was a big negative, but if you don’t need the extra bathroom, it’s a great cabin.

Lovely rental, but: Property manager could not be reached, even to leave a message. COMMUNICATION WAS POOR ! Location of lock box is not where we were advised. It is on a post on the wrap around porch, not on or near any door. Field shown in pictures cannot be used by renter. Fireplace in living room cannot be used by renter.

Quiet and secluded.

We stayed as a family of 9 and the house was well stocked and had all that we needed. It was very well labeled throughout. The back covered balcony with 3 ceiling fans and the swing bed were a great place to relax while listening to the river. It is close to chimney rock and lake lure. The only downside is only 2 showers. The bridge was out while we were there so it added 20 minutes to go anywhere. For a house with many upgrades I highly recommend adding a higher quality skillet. We chose to use Green River adventures to white water kayak and waterfall rapel. We HIGHLY recommend the short drive to Saluda. We also tubed down Green River. We also recommend hiking Young’s mountain trail through Conserve Carolina. We went to Biltmore as well. Grocery store is close by. We would stay here again. Great location.

Amazing times!

Very pleasant overall. There were some areas of opportunity that’s needs attention: House need more maintenance as some exterior decorative lights were not working, one of the hanging ropes of the balcony swing sofa was detached from the ceiling bin and in the sofa was in the floor (not useful), the exterior sofa pillows were dirty , the garage opening door was not functioning, and when I arrived I noticed the trash was not removed from the trash cans, it was full of trash bags. Overall the location is heaven and the house really comfortable. I will come bag for sure.

Wonderful place!

What a beautiful home you have and we really enjoyed our 3 nights here. It was plenty of room for my family of 7 (me, my husband, our kids ages, 5, 13, and 15 and my senior parents). Although it did rain everyday of our stay here, we were glad to have such a perfect home to be entertained with, despite having no internet, which my kids were very initially disappointed in. However, it’s good in a way too, to be “disconnected”. The view and sounds of the river was so nice. The pool table downstairs was also so much fun to play. The home itself was just beautiful and wonderfully updated! Beds were so comfortable! Will be back!!!
