Greg's an ex-foreign correspondent who fled Asia as Covid bore down, leaving behind his husky, his kayak, his mountain bike, his Defender 110, and those irrepressible smiles of the forever-happy Filipino people. He's most proud of his Tribal Adventure Tours company he set up by accident after biking with mates during a wicked typhoon to mark his birthday in the mid-90s. It quickly won accolades for highlighting the missing link in ecotourism--empowering tribal people. It's the winner of the Kalakbay (national tourism) Award. He's also responsible for Boracay SandCastles The Apartments and Palawan SandCastles Busuanga, beach resorts that persuade guests to swap lazing on the beach for activities and culture complete vacations. His other brainchild is Kayak Inn on the Tibiao River, a native-style adventure camp run by the Kiniray-a tribal people. Again, it's activities and culture complete. This art is painted by local Larrakia artists. The Larrakia are the custodians of Darwin and its surrounds.

Darwin was a stop on the journey to Broadmere, a cattle station 180 miles down the road from Borroloola--now revered for its barramundi fishing. You can tap Greg to orientate you on foot and on bike.
