This getaway backs onto a serene nature reserve and the amazing Beaver Boardwalk and Happy Creek mountain bike trail system. These trail systems are literally in the backyard and you are immersed in nature at tree top level on the huge elevated deck (with BBQ). The fact that we are only 20 minutes from the east gates of Jasper National Park makes this location ideal for outdoor enthusiasts during all seasons! In the winter time, you can enjoy cross country skiing 20 mins away at the Hinton Nordic Centre, a world-class facility with 35 km of expertly groomed trails for skating and classic skiing, a large rustic day lodge, and a biathlon range. For downhill enthusiasts, Marmot Basin is 1 hour 15 mins away.

enjoyed our stay
We has a great stay. Having 2 kitchens was great for cooking for Christmas. Beautiful location with backyard access to walking trail. Nice decor. We did have family members stay who have mobility issues and the beds on the main floor are really high. There are step stools provided making the beds accessible but challenging to get in/out of for some. Otherwise great stay, we had a great time.

Family get away
Excellent stay in this beautiful home. Location was perfect for us as we wanted to explore the Cadomin & William A. Switzer Provincial Park. Home had all we wanted & more. Bonus backing on to Hinton’s beautiful Beaver Boardwalk! Added touches like chocolates was very much appreciated. We would definitely stay here again.

Outstanding!
The Hudeawayonthehill was a great place to stay! The house is spaciou and well equipped for our every need. We loved the decks and grills on both the upper and lower levels. The location in Hinton was convenient for shopping and restaurants. The boardwalk and hiking trails located directly behind the house are fantastic. I highly recommend thie Hudeaway as a place to stay.

Great family home near Beaver Boardwalk
Check in process was very easy and hosts responded right away when we had a power issue. Both levels have kitchens allowing two groups or kids and adults separated if desired. Beautiful backyard and patio backing up against forest trails and Beaver Boardwalk we walked each morning and night.

Great stay close to the Rockies
Our group had three families with 4 kids ranging from 4 to 10 years. The communication with host Meagan was awesome and we had an incredible stay at this charming and clean property walking distance from the beautiful Beaver Boardwalk. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the serene beauty and calm surroundings of the back patio that opens up to a lush forest. The trail to the boardwalk can be access directly from the backyard. The property’s kid- and family friendly amenities made it a choice for our family getaway. Our children had a blast exploring the surrounding nature, and the outdoor games entertained all of us for hours. It’s clear that the owners have put a lot of thought into making this place enjoyable for families, and we truly appreciated it. We had rented the whole house and One of the standout features was the presence of not just one, but two well-stocked kitchens. All in all, our experience at this property was nothing short of exceptional.

Why they chose this property

We quickly fell in love with the mountains when we came out here for work at the National Park. We purchased this home within 3 months of moving out here because we knew we could not go back to city life!

What makes this property unique

We absolutely love our house and its location. It backs right onto the Beaver Boardwalk trails and mountain bike park. We can take a quick stroll after dinner and view beavers in their wild habitat. Pretty awesome!

This house would be super convenient for multiple families or large groups travelling together. The main and lower levels of the house each have private entrances and separate kitchens. They are divided by a door so you can have some privacy if you'd like or hang you with the rest of your group giving you the flexibility you deserve on your vacation.
