This spacious 100 sq metre suite features full central heating, a large flat-screen TV, ultra-fast unlimited Wi-Fi, a champagne spa bath, a separate bathroom, and a well-equipped kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, toaster, and utensils.
We provide a delicious breakfast of toasted ciabatta, farm-fresh eggs from our own “Post Office Chooks,” and locally sourced bacon.
Explore the natural beauty of the region: walk through sub-alpine rainforest to the crystal-clear Wilkies Pools, visit the stunning Rotokare Scenic Reserve, or take a short drive south to the iconic Tawhiti Museum — a tribute to one man’s passion for history and craftsmanship.

About the host
Hosted by David & Maria
Maria and David moved from Byron Bay in Australia to Eltham in early 2020. We spent over a year restoring the property to her former glory including a full central heating system and new bathrooms. We did a lot of the work ourselves and see ourselves as "lucky custodians" rather than owners of this grand old piece of NZ Architecture.
