The Ugly Bunny Guest House | King Bed

The Ugly Bunny Guest House is a one bedroom fully contained suite located on the lower level of our mountain home. The suite includes a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, induction hot plate, toaster, kettle, blender, French press and coffee maker. There is a separate bedroom with a king sized bed, the living room has a queen sized pull out and there is also a washer/dryer in the unit. The living room is large and inviting with a wood burning Rundle stone fireplace and upright piano.

We had a lovely time at the Ugly Bunny Guest House. We appreciated the extras - homemade bread, jam and delicious granola. You can tell they have pride of ownership. The location is close to downtown and walking/hiking trails.

This property was everything we expected. The hosts are very accommodating and have thought of everything , even good suggestions on things to do. Location and proximity to town is great. There were even a family of Elk across the street.

Perfect location to stay in Banff

Our group was lucky enough to book one night at Caylen and Les's house due to a last minute cancellation. There is a reason why it is booked solid, its in a perfect location in Banff within walking distance to downtown Banff. From the minute we pulled into the driveway Caylen and Les were there to assist us. They even had some fresh baked bread from the bakery and jam waiting for us which was great. Checkout was a breeze.

Wonderful Accommodation in Banff

The Ugly Bunny was perfect for our stay in Banff. It was very spacious, peaceful, and comfortable. It was the perfect retreat to a full day of hiking in the national parks. Caylen and Les were very welcoming! We appreciated all the treats they left for us as well. We would highly recommend staying jere.

Ideally located property just 10 mins walk to Banff Ave, everything has been thought of from slippers, plenty of kitchen appliances, cling film etc- just what’s needed for a short or long holiday. We have just stayed for 3 weeks and Caylen has changed bedding and towels so often it’s been wonderful ! Initial basics to get you started which helps and lovely surprises - a real home from home

Banff lives up to the hype!

Ugly bunny guest house was just perfect for my husband and myself during our visit to Banff. Everything detail was considered — from some breakfast options in the kitchen to laundry detergent to get our clothes clean! Great meal recommendations and a very easy walk to everything we wanted to do in town made the stay AMAZING!

Comfortable and welcoming suite

The suite is spacious and nicely laid out. The kitchen was ample and had everything we needed. We were so happy that we could walk into the town, and connect with a couple of walking trails, too. It was perfect in every way.

Wish we could have stayed longer!

Ugly Bunny was a pleasure! Wonderful, thoughtful amenities including washer and dryer and king size very comfortable bed. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable living area. Caylen greeted us and showed us around. The neighborhood was quiet and we walked to dinner. Only wish we could have stayed longer but we had a flight to catch the next morning.

LOVED The Ugly Bunny!!

The Ugly Bunny was absolutely perfect! The owners were so friendly and helpful. They provided all kinds of thoughtful goodies when we arrived, such as fresh bread and butter, some beverages, and breakfast items. We had everything we needed and more. Loved The Ugly Bunny!

The location was perfect! Walk 2 blocks to the shops and restaurants or the other direction for a hike! Les & Caylen were gracious hosts that answered all of our questions and gave great recommendations. I appreciated the washer and dryer as well as little extras throughout the stay. A home away from home. Highly recommend!

The Ugly Bunny...What a Delight!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Ugly Bunny. Caylen and Les were gracious hosts (their dog, Scruffy, was friendly, too) and gave welcome tips to help us navigate around town. Accommodation was very quiet and clean, as well as comfortable, spacious and well appointed - with thoughtful touches throughout. Main street shopping and eating are within easy walking distance. We highly recommend you consider staying here if ever visiting Banff. Make sure to ask Caylen how she settled on the name, "Ugly Bunny".

Great base for exploring Banff

We loved our stay at the Ugly Bunny in Banff. The apartment was so comfortable it was like a home away from home. It is ideally located being just a short and easy walk from all the cafes, shops and restaurants along Banff Avenue. The apartment has been well set up by Caylen and Les and there were thoughtful kitchen inclusions of bread, butter, home made granola, yoghurt and milk plus other items. The apartment was also spotlessly clean. We particularly enjoyed the very generous proportions of the apartment, which was helpful given we had a lot of luggage. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Banff.

Stayed 2 nights and loved it. Hosts were easy to communicate with. Place was very clean. We got lots of goodies like oatmeal, fresh bread and jam, etc. Took 5 min to walk to town. Great location. Would stay here again.

Beautiful property with the kindest and most responsive hosts. Bed was comfy and I slept like a baby. Only there one night but we wish we could have stayed longer despite having several nights at the Rimrock!

The property was immaculate and we were welcomed with several well-appreciated amenities. It's comfortable and cozy, and a short walk down the hill to the town center. Our hosts were friendly and accommodating while being completely unobtrusive. You won't have a majestic mountain view out your window, but don't let that keep you from booking rhis gem!

We are Caylen and Les and we opened the Ugly Bunny Guest House in the fall of 2021. We are long term residents of Banff and have both recently retired from our office jobs. We are hoping to provide comfortable and convenient accommodation amidst the stellar beauty of Banff National Park.

Why they chose this property

The Ugly Bunny is tucked in on the side of Tunnel Mountain. We are steps away from the world renowned Banff Centre - home to an Art Gallery, Fitness Facility, Theatre and fine restaurants. The Tunnel Mountain trails are on our doorstep. This a quiet neighbourhood, with access from the laneway, but still close to the lively hustle and bustle of downtown Banff.
