An Amazing Stay with Brilliant Hosts

From January to April I stayed in the one bedroom flat and the hosts could not do enough for me, making it feel like a home from home.. The place is modern, clean and light and it has a shower to die for as a bonus. if you want to exercise there is a lovely coastal walk behind the property it's also very close to the airport. Thanks for a great stay and looking after me so well

Cheap for luxury

Definitely got my monies worth. Great location. Easy check in process. Very clean accommodation. Off street parking was available. Overall enjoyed my stay and would consider returning back. Highly recommend for anyone to consider staying here.

Great locations, amenities could be improved

Thanks for a great stay. Lovely quiet location and handy for us. Modern, comfortable flat. Could he improved by providing a table/bench for eating or preparing breakfast on. Also we found it difficult to find the flat as there were a number of units labelled with the same number.

Future Bonus to this Unit. A kitchenette and Laundry.

Would be great to have a kitchenette in the unit. Wattle Downs great spot between Papakura, Manurewa & Manukau. Short distance from drive from these suburbs. Very convenient. Laundry would be a bonus especially to longer stays. 5+ days. Clean & Tidy. Parking next to the main house was a tight squeeze but it worked.

Just because I did not park in the car park provided should not give them the excuse that they needed to make a noise whilst I was sleeping. They need to respectful especially of others especially since they are renting out the said property.

Not suitable for families with children-Fleas!!

Positives- the host had good communication and cheap. Sadly those were the only positives. The property looks good but we had numerous problems from the start of our stay. We had booked for a family of 4 for a week. On arrival there was only bedding for 2-we had to request bedding and the host had arranged for some to be dropped off that evening. we were given 2 light blankets and 2 pillows (no sheets). These weren’t warm enough so we had to buy warmer blankets. There is no fridge-dishes need to be washed in the bathroom but no tea towel or drying rack was provided to dry them-there is No fridge. There is a shared Driveway between 4 dwellings, it is steep and difficult to turn into the car park- First day a neighbour had blocked us in so had to door knock to find the owner. The bed is springy and the sofa bed is horribly uncomfortable. The keypad sensor on the door worked well for a couple of days but after that took a long time for it to turn on so we were stuck outside trying to get it to work. The wifi wasn’t strong enough to watch Netflix (or the tv was too old?) There were no instructions left at all so didn’t know what to do with rubbish that couldn’t fit in the small bin-we were charged $150 cleaning fee because We had received seafood on our checkout day but as we don’t eat seafood-we put it in sealed containers and doubled-up ziplock bags. Then placed in a Nike shoe box and Nike shopping bag with other rubbish. The cleaners said everything smelt of seafood which I don’t believe is true but there was nothing I can do about it. The worst part was the fleas in the lounge. My daughter had many bites all over after rolling around on the floor of the lounge for 20mins.

Hi Jesse, thank you for taking time to leave the review. If I may respond to some of your concerns- I got the blankets for you within 30min, and if needed more - just had to message me and the heat pump is included in the rent so feel free to crank up the heat on it. And its a newly build unit with double glazed windows and fully insulated top to bottom. Its a shared driveway but you had your own dedicated parking space, and we had trucks pulling into during construction in that parking space you had. Also we have ample on street parking. There is no fridge- and its not listed on the listing; but we are getting one for the summer shortly. The entry lock works - you just have to close the door, enter the code and let the lock unlock itself " Before " you starting pushing the door. We have 100Mbps Unlimited data fibre, that ample for streaming. If you had so many issues- should have let me know so that your booking website and I could have found an alternative arrangement for you - but would not be as cheap a deal you had - AU$66 per night for 4 people, even a back packers would of cost more then that. I feel that you are upset about cleaning fee, and I'd just like reiterate that seafood goes bad really quick and it should not be left inside the house. The cleaners had to spend extra time cleaning up the place, to get rid of the pungent odours, bring it to standard that a guest would expect. Thank you.

The space was modern, but had limited blankets and no sheets for sofa bed and had to request towels. However the host was very responsive. The place has everything else you would need. Bathroom needed to be cleaned. Parking was fine, right by the door. Access was easy, safe and quiet area. Thanks for having us.

I didn’t appreciate not having sheets for the pull out couch or having a kitchen sink. There weren’t enough blankets, I got cold. Loved the shower though! Had the option for a waterfall shower and it was awesome.
