We very much enjoyed our stay. The house plus hot tub suited all our needs. Very easy check in and instructions. 4 adults and 4 children enjoyed the home and had plenty of space. Would definitely stay again!
Our stay at this cozy cabin was absolutely magical! Surrounded by a winter wonderland, it felt like a dream retreat. The cabin was perfectly accessible, and the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind after a day in the snow. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. My children had an amazing time exploring and enjoying the space. Communication with the owner was seamless, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful getaway!
The property is beautiful. All three bedrooms are downstairs with one bathroom on that level. Need more instructions to operate the fireplace, and where to turn the fan on.Kitchen dishcloths are needed.
The house was new, clean and had sufficient space for two families. The kitchen had all the necessary pots/pans/utensils to cook. We came for a ski vacation with younger kids, so if you are the same it should be noted that it isn’t quite a ski in//ski out. We needed to walk 10 mins along a road carrying our gear before hitting a green run traverse. As first timers to Apex, it would have been nice if the house binder had some information on the mountain and how to get to village and chairlifts. Otherwise the stay was nice and comfortable.
The property was very clean and comfortable! We enjoyed games by the fire at night and skiing and snowmobiling during the day! Close to the Apex village we were able to walk with the kids to the candy store! We had 6 adults and 3 kids we all stayed comfortably, we overall very much enjoyed our cabin stay! Beautiful property and hosts were easy to communicate with! We also loved the hot tub!
We were very impressed! the cottage was very well equipped and beautiful. The hosts have done a great job of anticipating every need. This was our best stay at Apex so far, we will be back. Thanks!
Cabin is brand new, nicely equipped kitchen, and the soaker tub a godsend after a tough day on the slopes. The wood fireplaces were easy to load to the place cosy. Day skiing and trail skating were winter-tastic activities, short snowy walk into the village pub too!
Nice place to rent for a group of friends and 2 kids. The place is nice and new, but did not have shampoo/soap. The bunk bed is not very stable and without protection so we did not feel safe keeping our 4yo sleep on the top bunk on her own.
Overall, it's a very nice space, but some little touches here and there could make it even nicer...

We enjoyed our stay!
Plenty of common area space to gather at the start and end of the day. Comfortable beds. Very bright and airy.
Just a couple small notes/suggestions:
- add a full length mirror somewhere, ladies like to make sure they look good before heading out for the day.
-a lighted number sign out front would eliminate guessing you are at the right place, especially when you arrive after dark
- curtains in primary bedroom to properly/fully cover the expanse of the door/window
Would definitely stay again, if we have another family event in the area!
David and Brittany were wonderful hosts - super easy to get hold off and the check-in process made us feel like we were at home. The cabin was exactly as portrayed in the pictures. The fire places, the heated floors, the soaker tub (even though a hot tub would've taken it to a whole new level), even the bedding all made our stay absolutely amazing. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to make a group dinner. Wish the dining table fit more then four, and that the bunk bed was more stable (we were all adults and opted for the couch rather then the top bunk). It was very easy to get to the village and as Apex is the most friendly ski resort out there, we always managed to get a ride from a friendly human so we didn't have to walk up the hill (even though that would've been a mere 15 mins). Overall highly recommend and definitely look forward to booking in the future!
We were following weather reports prior to our stay and tried to cancel on Dec 4 but VRBO apparently meant Dec 3 when they wrote cancel by the 4th. We were hoping that the hosts would intervene but they didn't. So we decided to go up there & have fun! And we did, but house experience was mixed. The good: beautiful living room with fireplace (as in the photos), great movie loft space, comfortable beds, plentiful towels. The not-so-good: kitchen is awkward for a group (not comfortable for more than 2 to be cooking/cleaning at once), the living room sofa material is peeling & will peel off onto your skin if you sit with shorts & without blanket under you, there was no soap or shampoo in the showers, no broom /dustpan or vaccuum (the cleaner apparently took broom & dustpan home by mistake) which made it uncomfortable after a few days with dog & teens in house, & house tended to be either really hot from fireplace or cold (windows had to be opened to cool it). The bad: 4 of 5 of us who used hot tub ended up with rashes - & one of our group ended up with a related foot infection (hot tub foot syndrome) that required 4 days of crutches and 5 days of antibiotics. not a nice way to spend the rest of your christmas break when home from college. David & Brittany were responsive to our messages, & it sounds like they had had hot tub water tested before we came. But still....
Great Ski weekend, was apprehensive about booking the place as no hottub was shown on pictures but found the hottub to be great. We did have one issue with a guest slipping on the way out of the hot-tub so be careful on entry and exit as it gets icey
The location was perfect for our group. The kids made a toboggan run at the side of the house and the hot tub has a hit. Kitchen was well stocked & equipped. Took a night to get use to the beds but after that they were fine. Very sound proof. Very relaxing. The loft was great for the kids to play. Can’t wait to come back!
